Recently been listening to Lotus. I know they have moved in a more electronic direction, but I like.

I've never been much of a fan of Lotus.

It took me a second to come around. My company was hired to do PR for them and I became a fan.

ETA: I dug their live show. A lot of energy.

Now listening to Down in the Tube Station at Midnight.

i'm probably one of the older jamband fans on the board. 18 dead shows, 50+ phish and panic shows and ton of smaller bands over the years,ie moe, Leftover Salmon, SCI, Bisco, etc.

I listen to Jam On on XM from time to time, but nothing is really grabbing me these days. I still listen to a lot of older shows and even a new one every now and then. Maybe my tastes have evolved? not sure.

Who are some of the really good new bands stretching it out these days?

No one is really "stretching it out" imo unless you go into the whole "jamtronica" scene (btw I hate that term and really don't enjoy the music). I mainly listen to all the bands you just listed although I'm still a fan of their current shows. Minus Moe. that is, I enjoy some of their songs but have always found their shows to be extremely lacking.

I really like North Mississippi All Stars.

Jam band-wise? Phish. Been doing a lot of 99 lately because it's by far my least listened to year.

One of my favorite jams of the year is this Gumbo from the 9/14 Boise show. Goes into a Another One Bites the Dust jam and then into some seriously deep funk (with a great stop/start), one of my very favorite jams.

I too listen to JamON from time to time, but I get tired of here the same 6 Phish songs and Dave Mathews constantly.

I generally think its on par with the rest of satalite radio. The dead channel is just as big of a joke. I wish they would let me run either channel.
