Impermissible phone calls.

over 900 impermissible texts & calls

two of the biggest problems:
1. they found some service that converts texts-to-emails and were told by their own compliance dept that it wasnt a violation

.....it is

2. Every time a coach calls a recruit, the recruit doesnt answer, yet the coach does NOT leave a voicemail....that record simply shows up as a 1 min phone call. Baylor thought that this wouldnt count towards the number of calls per recruiting period

.....it does

plus he paid a recruiting service website to come out to his camp and report favorably on the all-star recruits

So we're taking the word of some random high school coach?

Even if they were gonna get hit, coaches do this all the time now... jump off at the dock before the ship sinks and reinvent yourself elsewhere.

Sampson was warned for too many texts, got put on probation, kept doing it, lied about it, to his boss and NCAA.

Totally different.

sounds like the Rules Infraction Committee is likely going to accept the self-imposed sanctions, plus theres a half-decent chance Drew is suspended for 3 to 6 games at worst

We essentially are taking the word of a highly touted recruit who happens to be committed and would be signing at drews current school in the next couple of days. If drew was interviewing among the first people he would talk to are the players that he would want to take with him and tell them to hold off and wait on signing till he makes a decision.

Honestly don't know and don't think Drew is an attainable target, but the same thing was said about Callipari teams until this year.

Apparently they talk often. So much so, he is speaking on behalf of Scott Drew.

It's going to be Johnny Jones. Deal with it.

Of course he would, he can see the writing on the wall at Baylor ... just like Calipari and Pete Carroll.

By the way, whoever it was at Baylor that leaked this, well-done for doing it as the LSU job comes open (which Drew has been pushing for)

I would kill for 5 "talented guys running around on offense".
