Haven't eaten in Henderson, LA in years. I guess Pat's and Robin's are still going. Are either one of them worth a visit? Are there other restaurants nearby with better food?

Robin's >>>>>>>>> Pat's

Pat's has a better atmosphere, though.

Thanks, we'll probably give Pat's a try on our way past there.

Appreciate that advice, too. I remember years ago, it seemed like Pat's had declined and Robin's was prospering. I wasn't sure if things had changed again or not. We'll have to decide on whether we want the atmosphere or better food. Not really planning on a big all-out meal. Just looking for a place with some good basic food, while on a road trip through the area.

I've always had good meals at Pat's. I usually order the crawfish bisque and I buy the frozen to go. Robin's never seems to be open when I'm in the area, so I can't compare the two. Normally, we're around there during lunch time.

Always thought Pat's had one of the best.

It has been a few years, but Cafe des Amis in Breaux Bridge was really good.

Robin's has killer stuffed crabs. Its been years since ive been though. Pat's is ok. Decent service and a few good dishes. McGees has a smaller menu but a few good apps and some great specials with the best view.

Ended up at Pat's after a tour through Butte Larose, and Catahoula. Outboard boat races at Catahoula were a surprise.

Pat's was pretty good. Our group tried the crawfish étouffée which was good and loaded with crawfish. Another tried fried shrimp, which were large and well cooked. The small taste of crawfish jambalaya as a side was not bad either. Blackened redfish with crabmeat étouffée was pretty tasty, too.

Sat out on the deck, watched a few folks fishing from boats and from the bridge. Only saw a few caught.

Overall, Pat's was nothing spectacular, but pretty good, and better than I expected. Would go back again and try a few other items.

Robin's was not open. I know Cafe des Amis is great, but I don't think it's open on Sunday, not sure.

**Update - Looks like Cafe des Amis is open for Sunday brunch, but that ends at 2:00. Looks like that's all for them on Sunday.
