I just picked up some filets and rib-eyes from Calandro's and I was wondering how do some of you cook your steak. Do you marinate it first? If so, how long and with what? Do you grill it or stove top it?

I usually season it with salt and pepper. I let it sit in some Worcestershire sauce if I have any. Sometimes I pan fry it and sometimes I grill it.

What's your best/favorite method?

Worcester, salt and pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion flakes. My best creation.

- Let the steak sit on the counter for 30 minutes
- Preheat oven to 500
- Very lightly season with Salt and Pepper and a few drops of L&P on each side.
- Sear each side of the steak (90-120 seconds a side) on a hot cast iron skillet on your stove.
- Place the steak on the skillet in the oven for 3-5 minutes.
- You can add some melted butter on it if you prefer after removing it from the oven.

I like it on the grill, season it with Weber Steak seasonings. If you marinate it, it may cause flare ups so be ready for that.

Medium heat, 5 min on each side, medium rare for the win!

Butter and what ever seasoning you like. heat the butter and seasoning on the stove and pour it on your steaks in a ziplock bag. the butter will help seal all the juices for you.

Just don't mix it with any other seasoning. It will make it taste like

A little salt and pepper at the most. Grill it on one side til you see some blood, then flip it and grill it for a couple minutes on the other side tops. Just don't overcook it is my best advice.

Well done, then cut up for me so I don't have to do it myself.
Then of course a quality ketchup for dipping.

Nothing sets off the flavor of a steak like some ketchup
