I'm in town for work this week and will be heading home tomorrow. I'm looking to pick up some boudin on my way out of town to put in my freezer.

TIA

Best Stop, it's not too far from Lafayette.

Take the Scott/Cankton exit. Its about 1 mile North off of I-10, will be on the left. They have a good smoked boudin too.

If headed east Poche's.

Billy's boudin at same exit as Don's off I-10.

In Lafayette, Johnson's.

Around Lafayette and my favorite is nunu's.

Which direction is outta town? Trying to think of a place you can stop on your way out.

Milton & youngsville

Phenomenal boudin. I love best stop and dons but nunu's is a step ahead IMO.

I'll be heading east towards BR on I-10. So I'll be passing through Breaux Bridge and all in that direction.

It looks like I'll be passing right by Johnson's. It's 8 minutes from my hotel.

This is the same place, right?

Yes, Johnson's is in the conversation for the best boudin on Earth. Nothing east of Lafayette is in the same ball park.

Try a few different things on their menu while you are there.

Quick question regarding Johnson's and Nunu's place.

If I wanted to walk in order about 20lbs of boudin, would they usually have it readily available?

Nunus should have 20 lb on hand. Maybe not hot, but you want cold boudin for freezing anyway.

Yeah, exactly! I'm looking to stock up on some to store in the freezer and take out a couple links to throw on the grill at home.

Johnsons can fill that order. I want to say they usually have at least 10lbs vacuum packed. Pick up some packaged pulled pork also

While there get one of the special sandwichs. Pulled pork with pork sausage an sauce is money as is the boudin ball grilled cheese sandwich.
