I have to say Smitty's Pizza in Shreveport is the best I've ever had. Thin crust, BTW.

DiGiordano's Cheese stuffed pizza in downtown Chicago.

Its more like a pie than a pizza. The layers were as follows.

Cheese
Jalepenos
Pepperoni
Crust
Ground beef
CHEESE
CHEESE
Crust

The experience was great. I got a personal pizza (menu says enough to feed 1-2). I could barely eat two pieces (of 6). It was absolutely wonderful.

Best place ever was this little place in Eatontown, NJ called Freddie's. The next best was Lombardi's in NYC.

i feel sorry for the people whose best pizza they ever ate isnt is nj/ny (chicago i guess too, although thats not pizza to me). its virtually impossible for me to pick a best pizza ever, ive had WAY too many great ones to narrow it down. my favorite is probably brothers pizzeria in east brunswick, nj.

That's not pizza, it's lasagna with a crust.

I do love me some Smitty's. Been eating there since I was a little kid in the 70's. At first it was a Pizza Inn and the guy that owned it wanted to get away from the corporate chain so he started Smitty's. Johnny's in Shreveport is pretty close second for me.

I once ordered one of their 5-pound pizzas (can't remember what it was called) and waited almost 2 hours for it to arrive. It was made and delivered by the manager because somebody had screwed up my order earlier.

It was one of the best pizzas I ever tasted - worth the wait.

Pizza in Rome did not impress me..

Plenty of great food there, but Pizza was not one of them.

I'd call it a pie.. not lasagna. Theres no noodle. Nothing that even reminds you of a noodle. It was fantastic, however. If you cant accept it as delicious then you are just biased.
