Morning All,

Can anyone suggest something low calorie that goes with celery? Like, for when you're eating pieces right off the stalk.

I know peanut butter isn't a good idea at all, but I'm coming up with very little beyond that...

A low sugar peanut butter? The protein but half the calories?

Marzetti's makes a really good low fat/cal ranch dip. It's sold in the produce area of the store.

Season some plain yogurt or fat free cream cheese.

If you go looking for the cow, it is normally found in the deli cheeses and not near the milk. I like it on a wheat thin...

I hate 'em, and just seeing them reminds me of day drinkers who have alcohol problems. But it would work for a lotta folks, I know.

Celery needs no accompaniment but a sprinkle of salt on the stalk, if you want to go lo fat then place them in V-8 for a moment.

Sabra makes a buffalo wing flavor hummus which goes really good with celery. I also like the jalapeno flavor, chipotle flavor and supremely spicy.

I'll second the hummus suggestion

I like using the Sabra spinach and artichoke hummus for this purpose

Every holiday, we make stuffed celery, which is green olives mixed in cream cheese and stuffed in the celery. I will sometimes use olive mix instead of just green olives, but it's really good and can be fairly healthy if you use low fat/fat free CC. I've also stuffed the mini bell peppers with this mixture and it's very good as well.
