Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced (the lower the better, but at least under $150), but decent 360 (preferably wired) headset? I was thinking about getting the Turtle Beach - Ear Force XL1 (only $40), but I read mixed reviews on it. I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I also don't want a poor quality headset. So, any suggestions?

I'll check back later, TIA.

I got the px21 TB's they are a multi platform headset and hook up to the Xbox nicely. They were 85 I think.

They have a lot of bass which I like when playing bf3.

This may be a 1st. Turning a headset thread into a headset pissing contest. You named a brand, rather enthusiastically, not a model or a price point. Unhelpful post is unhelpful. Queenny posted a PETA picture of turtles on a beach. Picturesque, but nothing more.

Turtle beaches x31 are probably the best bang for your buck. 100$. In game chat volume adjuster, 3 stage efx enhancer (basically base). Good sound, good voice chat sound. Owned mine since Mw2. Uncomfortable after long gaming sessions of more then 2 hrs. Interference can cause popping sound.very annoying. They are wireless. New call of duty edition are pretty boss.

Tritton are the ones MLG uses, I think. And the ones I switch to next pair I buy. Heard they are very comfortable. Run more then your price line though. $200+. Most are
wired. 7.1 dolby is pointless as of now.most games are in 5.1 sound. Everyone that I know who had a pair love them. And those who have owned both swear by them.

i have the ax pros and they are comfortable and i don't even know they're there. I have 4 speakers in each ear, one of which is a sub. Also, they have independent speaker control. Real Dolby 5.1 surround sound as well. Not simulated surround sound like every other headset.

MLG uses astros fwiw.

I thought Astro was Tritton. My b.

I was on the Tritton website. They have some gay arse model names. Devastator? Is it a transformer?

but for the OP, you can pick up a pair of tritton ax 720's for around 120. They're a step down from the ax pros.

I'm an Astro headset guy, but you can ask iheartlsu, think he is asking 75 for a really nice headset, he posted it in our BF3 thread yesterday. They are def better than most Turtle Beach options, I went through 3 pairs in 3 years.

My turtle beaches crackle and pop; didn't know it was an interface issue. officially pinching pennies for new comfortable headset.

Do yourself a favor... Keep that mixamp and buy you a pair of 80 dollar siberia V2's and thank me later.

Night and fricking day... And I was a Astro fanboy also.

My friend had a pair of x11s and he hated them, so he moved to the dx11s and likes them. I have the x41s and I don't find them to be uncomfortable at all (I usually wear them for 1.3-3 hours), they're on the higher side for price ($160ish) but you can snag a pair for cheap off Craigslist. They're also wireless, which I find much more convenient and less hassle than wired
