I was pulling into a field this morning about 7 to start disking and I see a large buck jump a fence. I walked to where he was and he had been working a scrape line. Conditions are supposed to be perfect in the morning so do you

A: does the kid get to sick to go to school
B: go without the kid

If he has never killed a decent buck and his grades in school are decent, a missed day is not going to hurt him in the least bit. Put him on the deer.

Mine is 3 and she says "hunting is for boys daddy". Breaks my heart, but I think I'm gonna take her out to a box this weekend

Most of the time my dad would just get us all set up at the camp, get everything loaded. And sit at the camp and just BS around.

There is nothing a 3rd grader can not miss in class for a single day. I would wait till Friday though. Don't want him going back to school bragging about missing a day of school to go deer hunting.

I have taken both my son and daughter out of school to go hunting.

How will momma feel about this?

Hmmmm quite a dilemna

A: Deer hunting more important than responsibility
B: Deer hunting more important than kid
C: teach kid that responsibility and family come first and that comraderie is as much a part of hunting as killing

OR...

D: reward him for good behaviour/grades or such BS and let him go in late for school.
