... In the first game, think we would have got a 2nd chance at them in the NCG?

Yeah

Will be interesting to see what happens next year if the only loss between the 2 teams is in BR and there are no undefeated teams

I think people might shite if there is another rematch

Nope. It would have been Alabama vs Oklahoma State.

Guaranteed.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: Depends how hell bent the media is on killing the BCS.

NO doubt LSU would have been there, just as were. You would have been stronger in the computer numbers than we were.

And Tim Brando would have made it happen

The brand is important, Oklahoma was in OSU shoes they probably would have got in.

However, LSU had made a name for itself this year and recently and would have got the same shot as Bama probably. Plus, they had a tougher schedule and would have got beat on the road.

We would have been there, but I still think we lose that game. Bama was just a bad matchup for LSU. Plain and simple. We got them in November, and in every other year - we don't have the rematch to deal with. It happened, but do not lose out on the fact that we were the SEC Champs -Only our 11th title ever.

Think about what would have happened to Alabama had they not won on Jan 9. No conference title, no national title, second place also ran.

Fact it, this was Alabama's year. We were one year early and it didn't happen. We dealt well with the expectations of being No. 1 and we will have to deal with them next year. We could also be looking at No. 1 LSU vs. No. 2 Alabama in Tiger Stadium for the biggest game in Tiger Stadium history.

Yes. But think they would handle being the hunted better than did LSU. Thus, another close game like the first one in Nov.

Are you sure?

The only way LSU would have made it after losing to Alabama is if LSU lost on the score board but beat them in all the other statistics.

Right, ESPN?
