Clear it Out! Bama wanted it more and it showed!

You can debate the issue all year long but it comes down to the same thing. Bama was on a mission after losing Nov 5th. Both LSU and Bama are so close it's impossible to pick a winner. I still don't know how you over come 13-0 with all the awards and having to face your equal who feels slighted at 12-1 playing you for all the marbles.
Bama started the season as the unanimous pick to win the West and the SEC. LSU's young Defense surprised a lot of people, even Bama when we beat them. Our young team found it hard to find the right motivation to outplay a fully charged Bama team in the NC game. It happens. I wish people would stop making scape goats of players and coaches. If there were a 3rd game to play for all the marbles it would be a 3 point game and nobody knows who would win.
It is what it is. I love our team and we are stacked for a great run next year. Can't wait for everyone to start focusing on next year instead groveling in the game we lost.

I don't think anyone can deny this. But its still fact that Miles and the coaching staff weren't prepared. They had no backup plan, and no emergency plan. They were unprepared, and mailed it in. They Quit.

Ageed and well said. I've moved on and looking forward to watching new players and seasons.

Over-confidence across the board.
Jefferson's face said it all.

Spot on!
In our minds - We were already Champs!
Bama came to New Orleans to win a championship.
We came out the tunnel looking to be crowned, instead of taking it.

I don't know what graveling is but I'm pretty sure I'm not doing that.
So Bama was on a mission. I'll agree with that. How come we weren't on a mission?

The defense wanted it.
If we had switched quarterbacks for that game, LSU would have been the one that won by 21.

Our team was on a mission, Bama just wanted it more after losing to us in November. I have no doubt Miles said and coached all the right things. Our players just were not motivated to the level Bama was. It happens all the time in human behavior. To blame Miles for not being able to overcome this is weak and not understanding the entire situation. The New York Giants and New England Patriots know all about this. How in the world did the Giants win the super bowl against the Giants? It happens.

It would seem in hindsight, given the offensive game plan, that we were on a Mission Impossible.

Then you saw something that I didn't. Our team didn't look like it was on a mission to me. It looked lifeless, uptight, confused and without purpose. And if Miles wasn't to blame for that, who was?
