I've been reading that Mett doesn't have a firm grasp on the playbook.

Considering that on our pass plays we send out only two receivers, how could he not know them? If he really doesn't know the playbook by now, I'm worried about next year and I'd question his ability to pass remedial art.

Miles has said he's 'loyal to a fault'. He sure proved it last night. If Mett can't outperform JJ, we are screwed next year.

JJ played over Mett because JJ is a SR, period.

That's retarded. Mett will be good. He played well at JUCO, UGA and here. He'll be fine. Miles may handcuff him, but he'll be fine.

Apparently you didn't watch the spring game. Mett has forgotten more of the playbook than JJ and CLM have ever known.

I don't buy that for a minute--he doesn't have a firm grasp on the playbook--I believe that was just an excuse. I think Miles did some really good things with the team this season, but the way he handled the QB situation was definitely not one of them. Miles did not really give Mett a chance, taking for granted that his 2 seniors could get the job done--now we see how that worked out in the end, though to not play Lee was a ridiculous idea as well.

The didn't know the playbook angle is hilarious. As if we run some complicated NFL style passing game. JJ (and Lee to a lessor extent) make up their mind before the snap and lock on for the duration of the play. No reading coverages, going through progressions, nada. Mett could do that, heck most good high school quarterbacks can do that.

If we signed Cam Newton two seasons ago! He would still be learning the system. Instead! He wet to Auburn and won a national championship. Hmmm...

This is what confuses me. If Mett is gonna be the savior next season, why did he not have one meaningful snap this season? I really don't think Miles plays people because of seniority, and from what I saw last night JJ did not have a firm grasp of the play book. I just don't think the coaches have confidence in him. I hope I'm wrong.

You could write our playbook, the last few weeks, on a sugar packet.

Jeffersons retarded frickin arse cant even come out of a time out without getting a delay of game call because he is so clueless as to what's going on on the field. If les miles stood in front of me and told me straight faced that Jefferson was the best option they had at qb I would slap the piss out of his dumb arse.

Mett can't remember our play book but can remember Butler's playbook and get them to the JUCO National Championship Game? Meanwhile our playbook has been simplified for Mr. Jefferson. Give me a fricking break.

I think we've heard this before. How hard is it to learn a few key plays. Wtf was the plan if jj and or lee went down?

Don't buy it for a second. Les showed his stubborn ways last night and it cost him.
