yes it was an excuse to make Mett look bad so JJ could look good.

I think JL also had no chance to play either. Then the unexpected happened with JJ at a bar. Les was forced to play JL but only until JJ could get back. But JL was winning and the O was clicking so he had to wait for an right time to change QB's. Les was getting desperate because JJ's playing was increasing each game and I am sure also during practice thus keeping JJ consoled. I noticed the chemistry started to go south when the cancer was let back on the team. One of the best ways to hide favoritism to point out everyone's problems.
