When Miles didn't put JL in the game he was conceding the game, and I think the team felt it.

Look, by late 2nd quarter or early 3rd there is nothing to lose by putting JL in. It's called "pulling the goalee", and what's burning everyone here is how Miles didn't do that. Even to the end we were sending running backs right into the center of the line for no gain--behind by 2 and 3 scores with the clock winding down and still sending runners into the center of the line.

This kind of coaching logic wants to make me throw up. I spent $1500 to bring my family to the game and this is the kind of shite we have to put up with......

Miles is a moron and always has been. Last night should have left no doubt to anyone. Any person that defends him after last night are the same idiots that will ride a sinking ship while their captain runs it into a clear iceberg right in front of them with no attempts to avoid it.

I really am to a point that I wish the players would just quit on his arse, because he clearly quit on them for the sake of one player's and one coaches ego. Utterly pathetic.

To every player on that team and the defensive coaching staff, thanks for playing and coaching your hearts out for this team. At least you decided to show up and think of what that game meant to yourselves and the fans unlike your buffoon of a coach.

"could throw in a like fashion" what the hell has he been watching. JJ could never throw. And why the hell didn't he put him in in the 2nd quarter. Thank God Jefferson's gone.

At least he finally admitted it was his decision. Sounds like Krags and Stud may have wanted to put JL in.

This loss is on CLM because he has blind support for JJ, prepared poorly for the CHAMPIONSHIP game, and did not allow any offensive adjustments. CLM lead the poorist offensive game in BCSCG history and you have to go back to 1952 for a simalar poor offensive prefomance in a championship game.

JJ had an infinite number of sacks than Jarrett Lee. With less playing time. JJ doesn't avoid any pass rush, and Miles doesn't know his own players capabilities in a game. I think he made that shite up, it doesn't make any sense.

If he genuinely believes that JJ can "throw in a like fashion" then he is an admitted incompetent.

Lee NEVER threw a pass , including his freshman 08 season, as bad as that WTF shovel pass interception shite JJ threw last night. Enough said.

Lee should have been put in anyway.

True..we were desperate for a spark, JJ was off since the first quarter. And...what about Mett?? Could he have been considered an option?? Was Miles scared for Lee?? Did he think of asking Lee if he was worried or scared of the Bama rush? Sorry, but Miles drowned in this game with JJ, no excuses. I am grateful for JJ's contributions to LSU, and he will always be a Tiger, but I have to agree with others, I am really glad he is gone.

Miles and JJ lost that game in their last drive of the 1st half. Had they managed in any way to get a first down, LSU goes into the half down only 6. Instead JJ as usual runs it on 3rd down at any inkling of pressure and LSU has to punt.

Les is just pathetic now. This whole team busted their asses all season, especially the defense, and he cared more about appeasing one player than thinking of his team.

Although it won't happen, that to me is a fire-able offense.

Lee could hardly have been any worse and might have led the Tigers to a score. One score is all it would have taken IMO.

Have lost respect for CLM. He should fully own up to his responsibility for this huge loss.

Do we not have any screen plays in the play book? There are plenty of plays to slow down the pass rush. Too bad our coach doesn't run any of them.

What is the REAL truth? Could there be major recruiting violations? What does JJ have on the program? Or is it just something personal between he and Les?

Throwing the ball down field could have helped., but jj either did not do it on his own or was not allowed too.

I hope so. It was maddening, watching such incompetence at the QB position for three years, with everything from the OL to the OC blamed. How about a Head Coach that continued to reward that poor performance by sending his clueless QB back out somehow hoping he would magically improve? He might have had 3 decent games in 3 years of being handed the keys to an offense loaded with skill players most QB's could only dream of being on the same team with, and he continued to stink, all the while his coach (and a bunch of equally clueless posters) telling us what a great QB he was. At least we can finally say was. Thank goodness this era is OVER.

I became a Les Miles convert over this past year, after several years of criticizing his play calling, clock management, Miles-speak press interviews, etc; because it became obvious that despite my opinion of Miles, the players had confidence in him and wanted to play for him. This was especially obvious following the 'bar fight' and Jefferson's suspension. Success breeds confidence, but it also can give one a false sense of security when you don't give credit to those who make you successful. After our 9-6 win over the Tide, Miles became somewhat of a buffoon with the national media (eating grass) and appearing in several commercials depicting him as such, whether he realized it or not. What Miles has failed to realize is the effort and play of Jarrett Lee that above all else, is what gave Miles the success he enjoyed up to the Alabama win. After that, it became all about Les Miles. Miles threw Lee under the bus and attached his new star to Jefferson come Hell or Highwater. For Lee to not play in the following games and to take a knee in the Arkansas and Georgia games, was unforgiveable, if not unconscionable. But for Miles not to insert Lee into the BCS game, after all the contributions he made for Miles in the first 8 games, plus pulling Miles'rear out of the fire against Florida, Tennessee, Ms State and Alabama the year before, when it was obvious to 72,000 fans that Jefferson was totally ineffective, was downright shameful. Regardless, of all the success Miles can claim, his win record, his media status, I have lost all respect for him as a man and a coach, who is supposed to know the right thing to do when you are placed in charge of helping to direct the lives of young men placed in your charge. When you put yourself ahead of that responsibility, you won't last long at the top, regardless of the talent you may have to work with. Shame on you Les Miles, Shame on you.

Hynson, agree wholeheartedly. Completely despicable of Les Miles. Who treats a struggling youth that way but someone who is puny or vindictive.

MAybe that's LM: puny and vindictive
