I'll change my original statement from "Is a POS to was a POS"

Will that work?

Since the majority of the thread seems to have had so many experiences with him, I must be wrong and he must now be a classy, great human being.

How could he not be? he says "Ryan Clark: LSU" on Monday Night Football lineup announcements

At the end of the day In the scenario of he becomes head coach I could care less if he was an a-hole or not....as long as he wins.

Didnt Clark and Clarence LeBlanc get dismissed from the team for having contact with an agent?

Not sure about Leblanc but Clark played in the Sugar Bowl his senior year.

isn't he a guy that on primetime broacasts says his high school instead of his college when they do the announcements?

He doesn't but would this really upset you if he did ?

how'd you get

quote:

Ryan Clark eventually wants to be the head coach at LSU

from this

quote:

I've said this many times in joking with a lot of people that I wanted to be the first black head coach at LSU. I think that would be a tremendous honor, it would be my alma mater, it's really important to me that the school does well and also be a part of history of that school would be awesome. There's just so much movement and things that go on with coaching. I always thought about high school because I'm family guy and just being able to be with my family constantly.

sounds to me like he'd want to coach HS more than college or pro

I grew up down the street from him and his family. Played sports with his little brother my whole life. He's a good dude and a hard worker who comes from a good family. He loves LSU. I wish him the best and hope one day to see him back at LSU in some capacity, but he's got a few good years left in the NFL.

i'd love for him to come in and start off as a DB coach...think he'd be a hell of a recruiter in the mold of Ron Cooper. Also, according to Lebeu he has great knowledge of the game/defense as Lebeu called him out when he was inducted into the pro HOF calling clark one of the smartest players he's ever been around.

Played with Ryan under Hank, and yea a lot of people didn't like the way he left. As far as Bainsfather I thought that he had the program turned back around after back to back in the dome a few years ago, but guess not.

Hey, I would like to be the first person to walk on Mars. I looked at it through a telescope so now I might just be an astronaut. Just joking! As he was! But if he wanted to go into coaching after his career and built the right resume, he has a better chance and is more qualified than me. So go for it. Everyone has the right to dream.

Hes got a long way to go, but if coaching is what he wants to do after he plays, then good fir him. Prob wouldnt be hard for him to get a job at a smaller school as an assistant and work his way up to the upper ranks. Every coach got their start somewhere.
