Good for Clark, if he has success as a coach in the future, nothing wrong with setting goals.

Bring him in as a secondary coach when playing days are over, then let him be a defensive coordinator, then the coach

SIAP. Interesting side note. I just received ESPN text that says "Steelers will not allow FS Ryan Clark (sickle cell trait) to play in Denver's high altitude". Sorry, no link.
I didn't know he had sickle cell trait. That sucks for him. Never really thought about the effects of that altitude on that type of disease. Can't remember hearing about a player held out for that.

Makes you wonder about the average lazy-assed American - here you have a kid playing professional football with SCT - I remember a feel-good story about the Kansas City Chiefs, roughly 20 years ago - it specifically mentioned Wade Wilson and Jonathan Hayes (TE for the Chiefs at the time, currently the TE coach for the Chiefs) both playing in the NFL with diabetes.
Pistol Pete was a legendary basketball player with a missing left coronary artery. Let the average Ranter mow his yard with a push mower and a missing left coronary artery and see how much complaining gets done.
ETA: Intersting to note - Wade Wilson is the only person I can name that the NFL has fined for using performance-enhancing drugs as a coach.
