Logical theory why winner of Oregon & USC will play LSU for 2013 BCSNCG

Who will probably be in next years BCS Title game? Well, lets take a look...

LSU:Returns almost their whole young team. Scary thing is LSU might even be better next year then this year.

Bama:Loses almost their entire Defense. Plus they lose their star RB. They have a bad QB and not a great Offense. Expect to see them drop down a few notches next year as they rebuild.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma St: Both teams will be in a rebuilding year as they both lose their top talent. Expect both to drop a few notches next year as they rebuild.

tOSU: 1 year Bowl ban so cannot play.

Wisky: Losing some people plus their super star QB and RB and OC.

Stanford: They will drop tons next year. Basically all their talent is leaving, many to the NFL. They will drop many notches next year.

USC: Played completely different the 2nd half of year vs the first half. Their Offense finally came together and Barkley played easily the best of any QB in CFB at end of season. The USC- Barkley show vs Oregon was lights out. And vs UCLA they played as near a perfect game as any team can play. They looked very much like USC of old, 2003-2007 back in their prime. I am not a USC fan in any way, but the hype they have been getting is very legit for how well they played at end of year. They have 2 of the best WR's in the game and a QB coming back that looked near perfect. And they are super young and return everyone on their team pretty much. They are even younger as a team then LSU is. They should only get better. Some might vote them as preseason #1 by how good they looked and who all is returning. However I think it would be nuts not to vote LSU preseason #1, with how young they are, and especially if they win this years Natty. But USC has to play Oregon and most likely 2 times next year. Beating UO twice will be very hard.

Oregon: Return all their playmakers and most of their team except LMJ who has lead the Nation in Rushing 2 straight seasons. He will be hard to replace but the Ducks have always been loaded at RB. They have two other great RB's in Barner and DAT. The Ducks were terrible at WR this year as expected after losing so much last year. They should get be better there next year. Expect not much to change for Oregon as most of the team comes back. Oregon should hover around the top such as it has been doing for a while now.

With other top teams this year entering a rebuilding year next year it really looks like LSU will again go to a National Title game and more then likely they will face the winner of Oregon-USC.

Here is my pre-season top 5 for next year.

1)LSU
2)USC
3)Oregon
4)Michigan
5)UGA

I agree, but I am not completely sold on the fact that Barkley is not off to the NFL just yet. A lot of people say one thing, but when he really figures out where he could go as a QB this yr vs the risk. $$$$$$$ Talks.

I can see the logic. The only other team I can think of that might be in the top 5 is Clemson.

Preseason rankings don't mean shite though. Southern Cal is loved by the media, but I think the loss of scholarships is going to hurt them more than people think. Depth is very important and injuries can happen. A big reason for success at LSU is because of the abundance of quality back ups who can step in

Y'all should have won this year against USC. I think their due at least one loss next year.

Michigan and UGA both have potential, so does South Carolina if Lattimore stays healthy.

Bama will be competitive, but not as good as last few years.

Did you go on vacation out of the U.S. this past week bro? Barkley held a major press Conference saying he was coming back. And they turned the whole thing into a wanna be Hollywood production. lol Dude L.A. Cali nearly started rioting after.

And BTW, he comes from a very rich family. He is not hurting for money one bit. ESPN has made them their new love fest and 24/7 been talking about all this. I can't believe you did not know Barkley is coming back. If you spent any time on cfb boards you would understand why thousands upon thousands of those little University Of Spoiled Children bandwagons, who only follow USC when they are doing hot, have been slamming all the football boards and are so happy now.

Actually the scholarship loses are not going to hurt them right now, but down the road.

You see, USC appealed and by doing so it bought them an extra year. And they stalked up on recruits much last year. They are loaded with 4 or 5 star kids that they red shirted that never played a snap. The Scholarship loses start this year and go for 3 years at 10/year. Where one might see USC suffer is 3-4 years from now not right now.

I do agree with you about Clemson and USCe and such...

They will hurt more down the road, but they will also have an impact right away. 10 scholarships isn't a little. They might be stacked with high ranking players, but you have to consider that some are over-rated. Their young players also won't have experience in playing in a bowl game, yet a BCS game. Pressure in those situations is different than regular season games.

Their O line also took a big hit with Kalil leaving. They do get good recruits, but you never know if somebody will be able to take over the left tackle spot.

I think them being in the top 5 is reasonable, but automatic #2 is not. IMO it should be Clemson

Buddy, as I pointed out USC loses scholarships starting THIS year. And as you might know...at most major programs incoming new kids do not play right away. If they are a great program new freshman do not get a chance to play because there is so many older kids who are better. They usually redshirt. However, every team now and again does have a true freshman play some or start. But it is not the norm. And most know that as one lifts weights, gets faster/better/learns system they improve. Most know that a player is better when he is a junior or senior then when he is just a freshman or soph.

I agree that 10/year is a lot and it should effect them. But that first loss of 10 comes in several weeks. They have not lost any yet. See my point? And those 15 kids they bring in this spring will probably mostly all just get a redshirt and practice on the scout team. That is how this works.

I do agree with you that 10/year is a lot. But one can easily see how that would effect any team further on down the road and not right now. And btw, USC has planned much for it. As mentioned earlier they stalked up extra last year and redshirted them all to help cushion them 3-4 years down the road. All the USC coaching staff has already stated this will effect them down the road not presently. It was only their 2 year bowl ban that effected them these last 2 years in the form of moral nothing to play for but pride ect...

I know USC very well. I know all PAC teams very well. And there is one thing about USC you have to understand. They historically get the best recruits all across the nation. You think Oregon has some talent? We do but not even in the same ballpark as USC. USC always seems to recruit the top QB's every freakin year and same with O-line. They used to put more guys in the NFL then anybody. Now I think they are #2. But they have the most hall of fame NFL players. USC always has and always be a recruiting factory. Even under a 2 year bowl ban and sanctions they still hauled in a top class. They are just going to have to start being more picky with recruiting now is all. USC does have one great weakness however this past Century and that has been their own success. In the past, in their prime they always lost their top assistant coaches to other schools. Even more, and this has been true during USC's whole history and not just this past century, is that because they attract such top talent(for the longest of times has been the top or near the top in getting talent) that most USC players do not stick around all 4 years of school. Most leave early for the NFL draft. Their talent and success has made it really hard for guys to stick around long there. They have more first round NFL draft picks for reason. Kids go to USC to be groomed for the NFL more then any other program. That is also why Barkley returning, even though he would of been a really high draft pick, was such a news story...

Personally I do not think USC will suffer down the road as much as people expect. If anything losing Barkley the following year might hurt them some trying to break in a new QB. Barkley was the very top #1 prospect in his class. And he was the first USC freshman QB to start, and will have started all 4 years. Next year is their year, with Barkley returning and USC returning those top WR talents and weapons for Barkley to pass to. And everybody knows it. And that's why the media is going crazy about them right now... And the hype unfortunately is very legit imo.

Also, USC's O-lineman Kalil, who will be the #2 NFL draft pick this year, in theory one would think USC would miss him. However USC just got this top JC recruit that is supposed to be really good to fill his spot.

Now let me take a shower from defending my enemy...

TL;DR

No offense, but Pac 12 teams and USC are always over-rated. Barkley has never faced against SEC caliber defenses and he wouldn't do too well, especially under pressure.

They can have all the 5 star recruits they want. I'll take our 3 and 4 star all americans. By your logic they should be in the national championship game every year, it's not like they just started stockpiling 5 star recruits. Pete Carroll was doing it way before Kiffin

How can you make a comment about something you did not read?

That is not my logic at all. Recruiting the top guys each year does not necessarily insure success. Texas every year grabs the best guys. And look what they have done with them...

The collective wisdom of many turned me off. I come back every 3-4 weeks on average and I remember quickly why I wanted to leave.

As if I care either way... What's he going to do? Ban me? And if so, for what? But if he did it's not like I would care much... I am a Duck from Oregon. It's not like this site is really tailored to PAC-12 people.

LSU and Georgia will play in a rematch of the SEC championship game.

Seriously, An LSU/Pac12 winner is as likely a scenario as any other. However, OU will be in the hunt in Jones returns for his senior year.

Actually Miami and lsu have the most guys in the pros. But I agree with almost every thing else you've spoken. My prediction is lsu vs USC next year. And I'm stoked about it. Can't wait to hear the national media whine 2 years in a row when lsu beats two of their little darlings for the crystal

So how did they "stock up" on recruits? Last I checked, every university was limited in the number of recruits they could sign each year.
