i agree with the ducks top 5 next year but i want to tease them a bit. this was the same guy who said they would have beat lsu if LMJ didn't get hurt and now says that they'll do fine next year without him

Doesn't stretching the truth and context get old?

All I did at first in that thread, when it listed all the top backs you all faced, was notate that LMJ was hurt much of our game.

And then rantards be rantards ...

For the 6023rd time...
I have never tried in any way to suggest that LSU did not beat us or never tried to rob LSU of their great win. People made wrong suggestions about things and I only corrected them as they did so.

I swear 95 percent of you Rantards expect and demand to be sucked off 24/7 and if you're not, you go ape-shite will all delusion.

It's hard to take you serious when you are person behind these gems.

LSU is a worthy opponent, but has more speed? Are you nuts?

If Stanford was in the SEC last year it would of been Oregon-Stanford in the BCS title game

I like the Ducks talent and coaching versus LSU
Wait What?

Pre-season rankings: East Coast Bias at its best. But we are used to it

Bigger impact as of this point in time has to go to Cliff. I really don't see how that can be debated

1)LSU 12-1
2)OKA ST 12-1
3)Bama 12-1
4)Ark 10-2
5)UGA 10-2
6)OKA 10-2
7)Florida 10-2
8)Miss St 10-2
9)Oregon 10-2
10) total shocker
without being able to see the schedules it is hard to even make a good guess . The SEC will be stronger , top to bottom.Vandy could be the SEC shocker for 2011 , at 8-4, after all Vandy's Schedule will be stronger than Oregan's. I would love to see The Ducks play 5 SEC teams one season . Boise St with their schedule will probably # 10

I easily stand by all my statements.

1)I was talking weapons speed.

2)Ya I did think that, still do. As many that think Stanford is good this year, Stanford was many more levels better last year actually. They just lost too many to the NFL last year and this year to many key injuries. I did make bank on them betting for them vs Vir Tech. And a certain Ted Miller of ESPN, PAC-12 Blogger, and former Auburn reporter said the same thing. So sue us...
And I find it ironic that many Hard Core West Coast CFB guys, like myself, watch TONS of national CFB and all of the SEC we can get. However it is not the other way around with East Coast fans. Most SEC fans are either too drunk or our games are on past your bedtimes and most do not view all of them. I bet you did not see all the Stanford games last year to review them. But it's ironic that you can consider this a fable when you did not see them hardly at all last year while I viewed darn near all SEC games last year including all of Auburns except 2 of their rent-a-win ones and even then I saw most of AU's last seasons games multiple times each...

3)I still do. What's your point?

4)What was the specific context I was addressing? Too many SEC teams being pre-season ranked too highly? Maybe, but you did not list the Context. But to address the topic in general: We are used to East Bias and much of the East does not tune in for our games for reasons noted above in point #2. And Our New Golden Child Conference Commissioner, who hails from NYC and was a Top Harvard Grad, has testified to his witnessing much East Coast Bias. And he his whole life was a East Coast man. Since he has brought the richest media deal to any Conference with his new PAC-12 media agreements, that begin next year. And his great hope with them is that the East Coast will get saturated with more PAC Football to weaken the East Coast Bias. Again, not just one little mans opinion. Plus poll any West Coast CFB guru and they will all talk your ears off about this known fact. Not just one mans viewpoint buddy...

5)Notice I said, "at this point". Again, what is the Context? Who was I comparing Cliffy against? Without you naming the context it is hard to know who you are addressing ie. the Easter Bunny? Even without knowing, maybe I was addressing some young and talented CB's you may of had but had not had much game time yet; so kind of unproven still. No Context given, so don't know. I can say this about Cliffy last year: He was first team All American. He lead the AQ Nation in Punt returns. He was tops or right next to tops in INT's. His stats last year were even better then your hero PP7. I not think he is a better overall CB however as PP7, so don't put words in my mouth, but it is a fact Cliffy had much better stats then even your super star PP7 in the same year. Cliffy was not even close to as good a tackler as PP7, but he had tons better stats defending passes/ tops in the nation in Pass deflections and pass breakups ect... And he was said by many to be America's best Cover Corner last year, not to mention Best Ball Hawk. We saw some of that elite Cover skills in last years Natty, where he had 1 INT, plus another one called possibly wrongly out of bounds. So to whoever I was comparing, "Up to that point in time" (ie. from what all we saw the previous year...)yeah, Cliffy probably made a bigger impact for his team then any of your good, but young, and have not seen much of till that point in time, players at CB who were coming back for 2011. Not to say Honey Badger or others were not incredible, only I made this comment after LAST season, and it was regarding their play from the PREVIOUS 2010 year and who was returning. Cliffy: This does not even have all his end of season games stuff when this video was made. Cliffy: Exhibit A) LINK

I can see you are just trying to stir shite up... But Rantards everywhere will assume I am bitter about our game, which is hardly the case.

South Carolina has just about everyone returning. Plus a young DE that will be a Phenom. I look for Clemson to be strong, they are returning most everyone.

USC is going to have depth issues, but IF the JUCO acquisitions work out, they can be overcome.

We have the pieces in place to do some damage in conference and possibly even win it.

On offense, we need a "big back" to step up, and for Moody McNeil to stay healthy. McNeil is a Quizz Rodgers type, very small but shifty and fast as hell in the open field. You have to find him to hit him.

The running game is crucial for SC though, because a decent rushing attack will keep the defense honest, and that opens up the passing game which is where USC will kill you. There are several good WR's behind Woods and Lee, and they are no joke. The TE's are also very serviceable, and USC is famous for using the FB in the passing game.

The D line is a bit of a question mark, but we have almost all the LB's and the entire secondary returning on a Defense that grew up by season's end. It is a defense made to stop the pass, so my only concern is that we get a few "run stoppers" in to cement the DL instead of the pass rushers.

Special teams have improved a lot over the last few years; Pete Carroll never paid much attention to them, but Kyle Negrete(P) and Andre Heidari (K) are both very good at what they do.

Can't hardly wait.

LSU should be sitting on top of the SEC again, if Mett is half of what we expect him to be...our Off. will be the dominating force next season. We do lose some on Def. but we should just reload with the talent waiting for a chance to shine.
S.Carolina will be stacked.
Arky should be in good shape.
Bama will have 2-3 losses next season.Auburn also has alot of talent coming up.
Fla. still has a ton of talent to work with, they should be more competitive this season. Another great year in the SEC.
Clemson also doesnt drop off much..
USC has played great the last part of the season... but the competition in the PAC 12 is not stellar.
I am not sure about much in the Big 12. Texas was very young and is very talented, but they just cant seem to get it together.
Michigan played better ball this season.

But LSU vs. USC/Oregon doesnt sound out of the question based on how things look today, a season can change alot though....
