I'd take him back in a heartbeat for £20m...he could really flourish up top with Suarez. And the £30m we made on the deal would make me feel a lot better about the Carroll flop.

Yeah, I actually think he and Suarez could work very well together.

don't be fooled by his past success. I would be pissed if Bayern put up 10m for him.

Crazy thought: Torres to Barca in return for out of favor Villa/guarantee that Romeu stays.

He wouldn't fit into Barcas style of play...

I still think he's goings to find his form again, just doubt it will be with Chelsea

Truth. But, considering he'll only play for a big club, his options in England are limited. Liverpool may not have him back, he's too old and too expensive for Wenger and Arsenal, Spurs won't risk £20m on an out of form striker, City is loaded at striker and he doesn't want to ride the pine...that leaves UTD as the only other possibility. I wouldn't put anything past SAF.

Good thought except he hasn't even succeeded with the Spanish national team recently. I doubt Barca has a huge interest in him. A swap is possible though since Villa is likely gone in January.

ETA ATLETICO!!!

ETA2 wow, this pic pretty much sums it up

Would be closer to 10M considering what we paid for him.

you also have to factor in a sell on cost for Carroll though.

Why is it assumed that Villa is out in January btw? How do people leave Barca when they're having success? What else is there?

I was only factoring in the prices with Torres. Obviously, we would have lost money when you combine the Carroll buy.

Apparently he and Messi hate each other and haven't talked in months. Can't have that in Messi's, I mean Barca's, locker room.

I haven't seen it anywhere. Only heard it on message boards. Everyone has been saying it though.

I think it's the same deal as Ibra though. Villa has seen a lot of pine recently. He isn't happy I guess.

Turns out they didn't even need him..but I have a hard time believing that their relationship is so fricked that they can't even play together for one of the biggest matches of the year.
