Landon Collins is a dynamic ultra explosive athlete that LSU fans would love to see in purple and gold. But if he doesn't choose LSU lets remember a couple of things

1) He is a safety. LSU is DBU and we are stacked.

2) LSU is a national program now, look around the country, Florida kids don't always pick Florida schools, Cali kids don't always pick USC. Alabama kids don't always pick Bama. Point is when you become a national program there is a chance your brand becomes over saturated (played out) to some local kids.

3) Recruiting is cyclical. Every year there is that can't miss prospect that LSU loses out on. But guess what? That prospect is never a can't miss prospect to a program like LSU. Berlin, Robert Lane, Nic Harris, Joe Mcknight, Trovon Reed, Zach Lee, Trent Richardson, and Janzen Jackson were all can't miss prospects yet LSU is in its third championship since 03.

Point is support the local kid wherever he may go and realize although he is a great player he won't make or break Bama or LSU.

Not really ready to give up hope that he ends up a Tiger, but other than that I agree. LSU will be fine regardless of where Landon decides to play.

Not going to lose it because I think it's pretty clear he's not coming here. So my expectations are managed accordingly. Upsetting, yes. All things considered, it's upsetting to lose a guy like this no matter how you shake it. This isn't Kenny Bell people.

I sure hope he comes to play for the Tigers! That DB field will be so sick for several years if he comes to Tigertown.

What does a "national program now" mean? in terms of recruiting, we are not pulling kids routinely from around the country. 95% are from within a six hour drive of BR. How does being a "national program" mean it is now OK for kids to leave LA?

Brandon Taylor is graduating. LC can start next year.

I don't get the logic you have supplied us

I don't think he is coming here either but I don't think we will skip a beat. He will be a stud though. Luckily he is in a position where we are the deepest.

Since 09 59% of LSU recruits come from Louisiana. I would say getting 41% of your players from other states would mean a lot of Louisiana kids are leaving the state. Also when have a handful of kids not left Louisiana?

Why not? I don't get the logic. Please explain. Everything I have read from insiders are saying he is LSUs to lose.

I don't know about LSU's to lose but we have a lot in our favor.

The pussies on here who look at one photo read way too much into it. Stay out of his personal life ffs.

Can't wait to see LC lay a Bama RB out next year, then turn to the sidelines with Devall on the bench and tigerbait him.

I could see it going either way. Nobody knows for sure though except Landon and the people close to him.

The telling thing here is neither LSU or Bama has offered anymore S. They both feel confident. Now whether he informed either he is going to who? Nobody knows. But probably a good guess he hasn't except the few people close him. Otherwise it would've leaked by now.

I'd say LSU actually has more going in its favor for him right now than Bama. This isn't a Devall recruitment where he never showed LSU much interest. If you look at it, LC has shown LSU more interest than he has Bama. Do you know many games LC has been to at LSU? If he didn't want to come here he wouldn't be coming to see LSU play constantly.

And he has expressed home factors could be a good reason for him to stay home. Statistically, home is the #1 factor for blue chip recruits making a decision. He was born and raised here. Debo, Thomas are always close friends. And apparently Reid is too based on how he says they talk all the time. I know they had people who thought just because they went to the same school they weren't friends. I'm almost positive his dad wants him at LSU too. At least that is what I've heard. He takes a official to see his favorite team play against Bama. Then he takes another official to LSU's campus later this month. He has been to multiple LSU games before too.

What can Bama possibly give LC that LSU can't? A Louisiana born and raised kid. Saban's coaching? Then why does LSU have the three most decorated DBs in the country these past 2 years? I guess Cooper/Chavis sucks at coaching.
