Don't post much, just read and run since life is a full time job,but this was such a great point.Let the kids decide their future without berating them or their family or their friends or the other team.Roll Tide and Go Tigers to a great game on January 9.

Can we stop with the girlfriend stuff? It's really stupid. Landon Collins is about to make a career decision. His career will likely pay him many millions of dollars. The very nature of that career will mean that, if he and his girlfriend are to be together, she will have to follow him and go where he goes. I'm sure that the two of them get that. Anyone with half a brain gets that.
Landon's interest in Alabama is obviously (as he himself has said) due to the fact that Nick Saban personally works with defensive backs and has a great track record of success with them. Yes, LSU has great coaches who have had amazing success with DBs, but (just to look at one example) Corey Webster is in the middle of a $45 million deal. Let's not pretend that Nick Saban wouldn't help make Landon into a great player.
In short, Alabama and LSU are clearly both great choices for Collins. There isn't a "wrong" decision. I wish people would just shut up and let him make it, but if we're going to speculate non-stop, let's at least not insult him by insinuating that he's a p-whipped idiot. /rant
I don't know if you replied to my post randomly or what, but this post is pretty much exactly what I said.

gets sabans nuts of you're chin. Ron Coopers is the best DB coach in america BAR NONE. For the second straight year (the ones where he has been here at lsu), his db's have won all the awards and have been drafted higher and the next 2 years won't be any different. Also, all of saban's db's were rated higher for the most part coming out of high school then what he has had at lsu. Also at USCe he coached his scrubby 2 and 3 star players Ko Simpson and cornerback Johnathan Joseph to high draft picks.
saban is overrated as a db coach. Or i should say, he isn't the best. cooper is.
there is absolutley nothing alabama can offer that lsu can't. it's a no brainer where collins will sign, i don't give a shite what twitter or facebook says.

How is this thread still up? Yet again, it gets to his girlfriend and is completely unnecessary
are you saying his girlfriend is going to get mad at what some people want to "assume" on a message board?
God help her if she takes this serious.

I think if he goes to Bama its because he wants to play for a superstar coach for a program with a ridiculous amount of history and the ability to get him ready for the NFL. I don't think girlfriend will have anything to do with it.
there is only one part of you're statement that is relevent.
Next year, lsu will have higher rated db's (again), and at least 2 first rounders on dline alone.
cooper >>>> saban
Moffitt >>>>>> Chochran
Again saban is OVERRATED.

No offense but this post was pretty dumb...
Calling Saban a overrated DB coach? Yea, no.
Cooper every bit as good as Saban? You could make a argument for that. One thing in LSU's favor though is it looks KS might be leaving Bama. I know it is Nick Saban's defense but didn't Collins say he has a close relationship with KS?

He is over rated as be all and know all guru and undisputed number 1 db coach. One of the best SURE. But saying he is the best ==== overrating
give him average players and he is an average coach PERIOD

All three of those players will be first-round picks too.
Just because they're rated high, doesn't really mean much. Maybe Bama gets more exposure than us. The recruiting services don't exactly move their resources to Louisiana in such a low sub area. Despite knowing how talented it is. Using the recruiting services in your argument is extremely flawed.
And based on body of work, you could make a argument Saban is THE best DB coach in CFB. Did Saban not recruit those blue chip players?

none of the recruiting matters. What does matter is lsu will have thier db's go higher in the draft then sabans for the second year in a row under cooper's watch.
and when simon, mathieu and reid are ready they will be likely be first rounders as well.

also, it is not my intension to put saban down. I am just merely making a point that he will get the same level of coaching and exposure here at lsu then he will get at bama.
So yeah, there is nothing he can get at bama that he can't get at lsu.

lsu has gotten more exposure by far this year then any other school.
last year, probably even to alabama.
Next year guess what? Lsu is primed again and bama? not so much.

go to the seccr and thier is a thread up talking about saban being overrated as a DB coach
great minds think a like i guess
i don't know if anyone else is ready to take a gamble on another saban assistant. His coaching tree is starting to fill up with dead limbs.

That's what I thought. Just wanted to be sure
I've been getting more and more into recruiting lately. I've always been an LSU fan, but since finding the recruiting board on here, I can't get on the internet without looking up the news on recruits and stuff THat's another reason I really love having the SEC RB, because it allows me to see what's going on around the country. Also, it lets me know what outside teams think of the recruits.

FWIH, his GF is a Tide fan and has a 'scholarship' to Alabama.
Hopefully, Landon breaks up with her before singing day.
