Which Qb did you like better Jamie Howard or Josh Booty?

Both had huge potential. Howard more physical tools. Booty benefited from a high powered offensive scheme in HS. Probably both should have played baseball in college and we would definitely have a better opinion of them. But we sure didn't need them at the Box.

Howard, he threatened to kick Richard condons butt. I think he even went to the station while Condon was talking trash and Condon wouldn't come out nor let him in.

I think everyone forgets what a good 1995 season Howard was having before his injury. Again, he wasn't a jerk and was respected by his teammates. Unfortunately, he'll be remembered for the 1994 auburn game. However, he wasn't calling the plays so I never blamed him. He loved the tigers. Booty was about himself, not "the kids" as he referred to his teammates.

Jamie is one of the best people I know. He gave much more to LSU than Booty. Both had the option of going the pro baseball route. LSU was Booty's back up plan.

I thought Howard was valiant in the Bring Back The Magic game.
I thought the whistle in the student section to get Patrick Nix blasted for a safety was one of the most glorious things I've ever seen. It was like opening a box on Christmas and inside is a spider monkey with a Buck knife and a pack of Pall Malls.

But he's still a dick. That same 2000 season was his infamous UAB pick season. The 2000 season lacked good QBs except for Grossman.

Neither. They both were average at best. Howard's interceptions against Auburn put him over the top for frustration. Booty getting replaced by Davey in Georgia dome in bowl game was a good memory - I was there! That was the start of LSU's rise to national prominence. Booty did get all SEC honors at QB so I guess I liked him better if I had to choose. Loup replacing Howard in final game of season against Ark. was pretty cool as well.

I was much more a fan of Howard & its not even close.
