re: Perhaps Dupre got bad info from the NFL - salford227
NFL says first, second or go back to a School. He was told to go back to school. Kids don't listen. Now he has to pay to finish his college degree....

Sounds like to many cortisone shots. It's bad on the cartilage. Saban could care less about a player post Bama....

re: Could Troy Hurst out of St Helena play RB at LSU? - salford227
I played a night game on that field in the fall of 1989. The lights barely made the field visible, much less the ball. It was really bad....

re: Who is the Most Famous LSU Athlete Ever? - salford227
We were in the Dominican Republic about 10 years ago on a mission trip. We were trying to describe to some kids about Louisiana. One guy mentioned Shaq. All of thi kids immediately knew about LSU and Shaq. It was pretty neat...

re: Parkway relieves Feaster of Coaching Duties - salford227
He is correct in each of those issues. Nick Saban deceived Brandon Harris. Miles and Cameron ran a Pee wee football offense and it hurt the Qbs. Fat Boy screwed 3 kids out of college opportunities a few days before signing day! ...

re: Parkway relieves Feaster of Coaching Duties - salford227
What people are failing to realize: banning Bama from campus doesn't keep Bama from recruiting the kid, nor will it limit a kids opportunity. If Bama offers, the kid probably has 20-30 offers anyway. The coaches at Dutchtown and Denham Springs should have the same stance against Arkansas after w...

re: Feaster interview on "Off the Bench" - salford227
If the kid can get an offer from Bama, they will have plenty of chances to play major college ball. He said the kids can visit wherever they want. Bama coaches aren't allowed on his campus. He isn't stopping the coaches from recruiting the kid, only setting foot on campus. ...

Could Orgeron be pulling a Tennessee trick? - salford227
He was on the staff that had the safety from Lake Charles hold his signing until the next day to keep LSU from signing another safety. Could he be doing that with Wilson to keep Ferrel from flipping to FSU. Have it leak that Wilson is going to FSU and Ferrell sign then Wilson all the sudden have a c...

re: Lawn Seeding Advice. - salford227
I lay about 300 pallets of sod per month. Sod on sand is no problem. We grade most of our lots with 100 percent sand in the winter because it's to wet to do anything else. I haven't seeded a yard in years. I have seeded with centipede and carpet grass. Centipede will take over the carpet grass i...

re: Lawn Seeding Advice. - salford227
Beware of river silt. Spillway river silt tends to have torpedo grass roots which will make you hate life. River sand is usually dredged when getting gravel out and will rarely have any type of see in it. It comes from deep in the ground. Especially if it's coming from St Helena parish....

re: Lawn Seeding Advice. - salford227
Centipede will grow fairly well in sandy soil, but I think it will struggle to germinate and establish in a riversand. Centipede sod will do perfectly fine on the sand, but the root system is already established in a good soil. I'm not sure what kind of luck you are going to have trying to seed it. ...

re: Large oak tree planter/seller? - salford227
I'm a landscape contractor in Denham Springs. Here is what I've learned over my 8 years in business. Container grown trees transplant into the grown much better than field grown trees. Field grown trees receive a shock when they are spaded and dug up because the roots are cut and have to re establis...
