My Flight with Jesse Palmer Part 3.

So I've posted here a few times in the past about sharing a flight with Jesse Palmer on Sunday nights from NYC to Charlotte. I had another flight with him last night.
I spoke with him before the flight and he said that LSU if it wins the BCS should go down as one of the all time greats in College football. Said he's never seen a team like LSU dominate so many ranked opponents.
Said next year he fully expects that LSU's D will be the unquestioned best in the country.
Seems to be team LSU again for the BCS like he was on Nov 5. He seems to genuinely like our team and doesn't seem to be waiting for LSU to fail like the rest of ESPN.
On a side note he's a really nice guy and generally says hello to me before I get a chance to say hello to him. Half the time I'm surprised he remembers me especially this time since I haven't been on the same flight in over a month.

Any insight on the "scripted" comments from ESPN's talking heads? I'd like to know what these guys think when they're off camera.

Nah, I didn't want to ask any controversial questions. He's a nice guy and always seems willing to talk. Don't want to kill it by inadvertently insulting his colleagues and friends at ESPN.

I flew w/ Mark May, Holtz, and Reece Davis last year out of Monroe. Holtz talked/spit the whole time, Davis slept, and Mark May read a half dozen sports publications..

Yeah, the whole flight he was watching game clips on his ipad; drawing up plays based on the clips and taking notes.
