Last game vs Bama TE wide open all night
Heavy dose of Hilliard and Ford

What else needs to happen?

Emphasize the importance of making first downs

For the first time this year I thought our offensive game plan was the pits

JJ and Ford option. Practice it for 4 weeks then kill Bama with it

Billiard and Ford

I would compare Hilliard more to a bowling ball than a billiard ball.

We need a balanced attack -period. Calculated risks to keep them off guard.

No 1st downs for a half and 30 yards total passing = loss.

Maybe it is time for Russell Shepard to throw a touchdown pass to Randle on a "trick" play?

Start Mett for a series, play Lee 2nd for a series, then have JJ come in passing , not running and its 7-0 or 14-0 with Saban spitting, cussing, yelling and Bama confused. Bama can't pass, has to run, from behind. McKarron[sic] confused.

Score more points?

Seriously, several have made the point that the vaunted 'Bama linebackers are less than fleet of foot. That may be something to exploit with the TEs and the option with Ford et al.

I'd can that snap it to ground/roll it to the qb in shotgun/throw a pick play.

It really sucked.

We have to complete some passes on first down. Bama will have a month to prepare, so the option will need to be ran the same way as last game and that's only when the defense is giving it to us. Again, we have to be able to have some success throwing the ball on first down. Nothing crazy but easy, low risk passes that get us 4 to 8 yards.

We seriously need to have a passing game. JJ ain't gonna cut it. I hate to flame anyone, but he can't pass consistently. If CLM isn't going to let JL play, then I would really consider letting Mett take snaps. I can't help but think that JL's mental status, after all that he's been through the last few years....I think he's mentally gone. That's why he not playing. I don't understand why he wasn't put in for a few series during the GA game?

4 weeks to prepare?

Lets run some triple option out of the flex bone :).

Just imagine this:

Hilliard and Ware at the Full back position getting quick yards

Ford/Blue at the wing back spots for the pitch, with Magee able to spell. Maybe even mix in some Russell Shephard here as well.

We have already run hilliard at the traditional fullback position before, so we could huddle with these guys or similar packages, and come out in spread, Iform with 3 WR, or a variety of other formations besides the flexbone.

Start the first drive in this, run down score a touchdown, come out second drive in regular I form , total mindfrick :).

(for the record: I've been running triple option with LSU on NCAA12 since it came out, try it if you haven't)

Apparently the coaching staff believes that too. We ain't gonna beat bammer again with a JJ performance like Georgia. But they won't play Mett. Apparently they didn't see what I saw during the Spring Game

Beat them to the edge with Ford and some Blue and hit the sideline. Tire them, then run hilliard/ ware/ blue up the middle

Add a pass or two off the base option so that if Bama's LBs over-commit to the run option.... drop off it 3 steps and hit a RB or TE just behind them for 10+ yards... when they back off --- go to the option pitch to Ford again and run it at them for 10 yards a pop.

Get some quick hitting passes to TE or flanker/slot that hit for 5 yards and loosen Bama's D up to open up the running lanes... then grind it out on the ground.

Find a way to get Randle behind them and get the ball to him deep.

Just win and shut their asses up... then party on Bourbon Street like we did in Jan 2008.
