I really enjoy watching the big man run the football! I don't mean this to be negative towards Ware, but Hilliard has been more effective in the last month of the season. I really like that we have been getting the ball out of different formations instead of the I formation behind Copeland. It makes us a little more unpredictable.

I agree. Hilliard is a beast.

I think that adding new formations and plays will really benefit us against Bama. Bama has great playmakers, but from what I have seen watching their games, they don't have Rocket Surgeons out there on the D side of the ball. They don't respond as well as some think they do to changes and new looks. If we can throw them off guard with some twists on our running game, I think we easily put up 14-17 more points than them.

He didn't play much in the meaningless regular season game against bama but I think if he gets the majority against them In the championship game he can be very effective

Not only is he strong, but he is light on his feet, makes good cuts, and has good vision. Bettis is a good comparison, although I hope Hilliard doesn't get too big.

Hopefully Ware can rediscover his form, he hasn't been his violent self. Our rotation works out well, but I think Hilliard has earned 10-12 carries per game.

Imo I think the lineup should be hilliard, ford, blue, and then ware. But I am no coach.

Hopefully he reverses the trend of having a solid freshman season, then never really reaching that level again. Vincent, Broussard, Keiland, etc. I know there are injuries, but...

We'll definitely need him against Bama. That counter trey against UGA was a thing of beauty.

it's all about his weight. If he can keep it down and get stronger and not lose his quick feet he will be a monster for years

I have to admit I was a non-believer in the summer when I saw his weight but it appear he still moves well while running over players and he will be a great RB for LSU

I don't think Ware is the best running back we have, he might only be the fourth best, but you shouldn't look at it that way. Ware's value to this team as the starter is not as a yard gainer or a scorer. Ware, as we've heard Gary Danielson say a million times, is "a violent runner." Les uses Ware to punish defenses, get them tired and sore and timid. Then once the opposition defense is softened up, Les puts in one of the other three finish the job. It is a great strategy if you have the players to do it, and LSU does.
