I've been wondering if the American owners would try to bring in a top young US player. Liverpool historically haven't bought American but if Henry sees an untapped market in the US, he may feel like support for the club may grow here with an American player in the squad.

Does Henry have a hand in that process? I always thought that buying players was Camolli and Dalglish's job. I'm sure he can say look at this player or that player but ultimately it comes down to DC and KD

Yeah I thought the same but I'm sure they respect his opinion. Man is a genius in the sporting world.

I mean the guy did trade the Marlins for the Red Sox. That was a pretty awesome deal.

Henry has joked that he has no hand what so ever in picking talent for LFC because he doesn't know enough about soccer. However, he might have suggested it to DC and KD that signing an American or two certainly wouldn't hurt in efforts to open up that market.

Now you guys do know what Kenny's son has been doing for the past couple of years and where he has been doing it right? That probably hasn't hurt in scouting guys like Pelosi, Bijev, and Agudelo.

It's probably worse than that...he didn't know shite about soccer when they bought the team. But, I have a feeling that if he expressed an interest in bringing in a US player to spark support amongst American fans, Comolli and his team of scouts would get on it.

Are you talking about Paul? I guess I haven't heard about this?

Yeah, for the past two years he has been working for the Dynamo's Academy in Austin.
