Wait, so you're telling that Oregon could be 8-4 only losing their out of conference games and still be playing for the title?
Conference record is more important than overall W-L?

Yes..both Georgia and south Carolina have identical records.
South Carolina beat Georgia
Georgia has 1 SEC loss, and 1 OOC loss
South Carolina has 2 SEC losses
Georgia goes to Atlanta

Well shite, I didn't even know that. Guess its just one of those rules you never know about until you need to.

How do you justify that though? Doesn't make sense.
quote:Seriously?
That isn't the case in the SEC is it?

Stanford is 11-1.

Here's another one for you to wrap your head around. SC beat Oregon at Oregon but would have to play at Oregon for the conference title if they were eligible. YEAH.....conference record matters.

This can happen in ANY conference. Shoot, someone could be 6-6 in any conference and win the conference depending on how other teams do in conference or division.

I never said I didn't realize conference wins don't matter.
But I didn't realize that someone who got beat by another conference team with a better overall record would go over them. I thought overall W and Ls was the final determinant.
