I broke open the Stone Vertical Epic 11/11/11 last night... and was very impressed. I thought the chile flavors went really well with what was definitely a Belgian base to it.

I'm looking forward to saving the ones tetu got for me for next year with the 12/12/12 and seeing how this one ages.

Any good beers the last few days?

Haven't cracked one open just yet. May open one tonight.

I had a Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout Monday night. It's a RIS, and is very well done. In fact, I like it better than Old Rasputin, which is my go to RIS. 4 packs for $7.49 at Whole Foods.

Did an Albertson's make your own 6 pack yesterday, so I could try a few things. The Abita Christmas Ale is just awful. First sip wasn't bad, but I could barely finish the bottle. It tasted like cold coffee to me.

Also had the Bayou Teche Grenade for the first time yesterday after a long run. It was a good thirst quencher and is interesting. I could see it being a good grass cutting beer in the summer.

The Anchor Christmas Ale is absolute money. I could drink that year round.

Did Albertson's have this in singles? I haven't broken down and bought a sixer yet, but need at least 1 to put away and I want to make sure I grab one before they run out.

I have been fighting a cold the last few days so I don't remember the last beer I have had, all green tea and water for me.

Albertson's didn't have it. Whole Foods has plenty of it. I've already bought 3 sixers of it, and will go back for more soon.

Damn, I stare at it at Whole Foods and just cannot take the plunge yet, mainly because I wont drink it yet. I have St. Arnold's Christmas sitting in the fridge that I havent touched since it is 81 outside.

I have an Avery Reverard, DFH 90 and Brown, and a Yeti Stout in the fridge that I think will be disposed of between now and the end of the LSU Game.

I've had the DFH Brown, and Yeti before and they are both great. I'm really looking forward to trying that Reverend.

Who was it that was looking for some older anchor years?

I know Fratastic was one but who was the other. I have some spare bottles of Anchor 07.

Im enjoying an abita amber in chicago's LSU bar right now. Had a Bells beer earlier. It's unfiltered so a little hoppy for me. 312 is good tho.
