She wants to eat some good Seafood and Creole cooking. Any suggestions would be apreciated.

Drago's was great for a quick lunch a few weekends ago. Ate at Royal house 8-10 months ago and liked it. Not sure if I am in the minority the with that one.

Did Stella and Tommy's the same weekend, Tommy's was good, Stella of course was amazing.

Lunch at Casamento's for seafood no question. Plus she will love the galleries and shops on Magazine.

Go to lunch at Casamento's on Saturday for sure.

Small order of crab claws
Some raw oysters
Soft shell crab loaf.

Pass out.

Agree with Casamento's.

For a first time visitor, I'd recommend Galatoire's or Arnaud's for one of your meals and, specifically, if you can eat lunch or brunch on Sunday, it's festive and fun to go to Arnaud's for the Jazz Brunch. A real celebratory atmosphere for the birthday girl. Menu is typical New Orleans and it's good to hit at least one of the oldies, but goodies on an initial trip.

I really think Arnaud's is the best place for a New Orleans experience for an outsider. It's where I always take out of town company and they LOVE it.

Plenty of good suggestions for sure...Brightsen's will be a great Creole Uptown adventure. The brunch rec's are all good. For a lunch on Saturday, Casamento's sounds great or, stroll through Central Grocery on Decatur and grab a muff and eat it on the river bank...if the weather is good, that can't be beat. Have a great time.

When you make a reservation, tell them you are there for an anniversary. Some places will do a special dessert of some sort. You could also have flowers delivered to your hotel room so they are there on arrival, if she likes that sort of thing.
