to me i think it's wrong..

the whole trading players for one week to fill in for a bye and then trading back.

i needed a qb in the worst way this week bc of bye, but i didn't once entertain the thought of asking my friend in the league to borrow his backup qb.. even tho he would.. but now others in the league are talking about doing it..

this is a money league fwiw.

Eh. I think it's wrong.

But hey the best thing to do is "borrow" a great player and then don't trade them back. That'll show them.

that's how i feel. it seems the very definition of collusion. just wanted to make sure. i will never play with these people again.

i almost with there was a 2 way commish type of thing..

This is wrong and shouldn't be allowed.

Leagues, especially money leagues should have trade rules in place. For example a no trading back, or traded players are locked for trading for x many weeks.

In a money league i think this is grounds for getting kicked out.

Yes it's wrong and shady...especially in a money league.

This. I'd be pissed and would find a new league next year if it was allowed

"Borrowing" is a helping another team out while you get nothing in return. There's no reason to want to do that. If you actually got to keep another player permanently in return for loaning him then MAYBE, but it is still pretty shady.

i think it is fine. FF has been around long enough for leagues to make rules about everything. know the rules before hand and if you decide to play, then thats your decision.

There are several ways to get around this issue, a few have been mentioned...you can always make trades cost $5-10 per team. that would cut down on it.

I have been in leagues with dumb rules and either decided to play or drop out. if there isnt a specific rule, ask the question before the draft.

It's collusion, plain & simple. Should never be allowed, even if it's voted in, or however the frick you explained it.

what about if its mutually beneficial for both teams?

example:
team A has 2 starting RBs on bye but no WRs on bye
team B has 2 starting WRs on bye but no RBs on bye

team A trades his #3 WR for team B's #3 RB

They both get benefit out of it because they need to fill in for byes but the player they are giving up would have probably been on the bench this week. However, they both want their players back the following week.

Personally, I dont think I would have a problem with it personally as long as BOTH teams are getting value from it and it is relatively fair.

No you stupid shite.

You draft players and form your own team. That's the point of fantasy football. You don't borrow players. Pay attention to your bye weeks and manage ahead.
