Will I be happy with my Benelli Vinci?

I love my super nova. Benelli makes some fine shotguns.

I have the last years model SBE II, there pretty much the same gun with some tweeks to the Vinci but my SBE II is fine throwing out 3.5s to 2.75s. Easy to get back on the bird, the inertia system is badass. All around them italians know what there doin.

Good buy. I have a SBE 2 and love it. Have killed pretty much every edible animal in the south with it.

Oh yeah. I bought mine right before the second split last December and LOVE it. A few of my buddies dog on the look of it, but they will get used to it. I've put a decent amount of shells through it, and its a smooth as ever. Best part about it is the weight IMO. I'm not a body builder by any means, so the lightweight makes it easy for me to throw the gun up and make a quick shot. I tried out a few different guns before deciding on the Vinci, and it came down to how good it shouldered for me and how quickly I can aquire a target. Murked some teal every weekend of the season without a hickup. All in all, fantastic gun and can't wait to shoot some more ducks this year. Like mentioned, they are all great guns, it just comes down to preference.
ETA: and the breakdown of the gun is pretty ridiculous. I mastered the "Vinci Challenge" which is break down and reassemble the gun in 15 seconds.

No. You will hate it. I'd be willing to take it off your hands for a few hundred dollars.

I'm not trying to argue, just clarify but the Vinci isn't like any shotgun ever made. I have both a SBEII and a Super Vinci. I love both guns but they could not be any different mechanically.
Every semi auto shotgun ever made prior to the Vinci had the recoil spring in the stock. In the Vinci the recoil spring is directly behind the bolt. This helped to cut weight and also makes it much easier to clean (which makes it more reliable).
Again, just trying to clarify.
And you will love the Vinci.

The Vinci is a great, reliable shotgun.
In that price range, and in that weight class, the Beretta A400 "Xplor" is also worth looking at.
Both have manageable recoil -- especially the Beretta if you buy it with the optional "kickoff" recoil reducer.
