On 24/7 sports this morning with Bill King, Gerry DiNardo says as a head coach you have to do what is fair. He seems to think CLM will make JJ the starter if he comes back because it would be the fair thing to do.

GO!

Many reasons that Dinardo is not a coach, and this is one of them.

I would have said that even after week 1 (Oregon). But there's too much water over the damn, and Lee's obviously a lot better than most of us thought he would be.

JJ won't start unless Lee gets hurt.

He probably thinks not keeping score is a fair thing to do as well... Sounds like he should be coaching youth league at the local Y.

That statement in a nutshell is why Dinardo is an ex-head coach. And not a good one

Holy Schmoly!

DiNardeaux must Geaux!

I can't believe that anyone with a lick of football sense would lobby for JJ to return (Mid Season) as the starter.

Not even the most ardent JJ supporters (me being one of them) has suggested this, so try and settle down. All I have ever said is that it would be unfair to automatically make it impossible for him to be in a position to win the starting position BACK when he is reinstated, assuming Miles reinstates him. THAT would be unfair. There's no point in reinstating him and telling him that he has no shot to ever win the spot he'd earned three straight seasons back...ever.

JJ, like every other member of the team, ought to be evaluated based on his performance and if Miles sees fit to play him, then Miles must think he's ready. If at some point he sees fit to start him, than Miles must think he's ready and presents the best opportunity for LSU to succeed.

I'm ok with that, are you?

This is just like that time he was fair to starter and all-American Kevin Faulk when a younger Cecil Collins sat the bench.

With such brilliant reasoning skills, it's a damn good thing DiNardo wasn't the manager of the Yankees when Wally Pipp was ready to return to the lineup.

*Fair*...is Dinardo a sports Marxist of some sort. Jarret Lee has remained a loyal and dutiful teammate from the git go; he's overcome, matured and has the faith of his teammates. Not to mention a growing resume.

Stomping a man who is down, nws...JJ broke the rules, with a lot on the line in that Oregon game. He is NOT A LEADER...Period! Talent beside the point. Which (leadership) is what the QB of a NC contending team must be.

Screw Dinardo...his record speaks volumes, re his opinions and leadership ability.
