You never screw with the helmet color because it is not the color that your quarterbacks have practiced with and will cause a slight hesitancy this is dumb. also i hate the purple arm pit stain. i wonder if the helmet logo will be painted on instead of that awkward looking sticker. im on an old computer at work and cant tell that there is bengal stripes on the helmet. im a fan, i like the overall concept of them.

You have to get some very experienced air brush artists to do that. Time and money would be an issue. A cut to codor decal would look better but Lsu won't go to that. One positive is that lsu's decals aren't quite as thick so it will look better.

I was going to say that I'm pretty sure the current gold helmets have decals not paint, correct?

I love the shoulder stripe that wraps around. I wish we would go back to this for our regular uni's too.

NO NO NO NO NO !!!!!!!! If the gold was our normal gold, maybe. After the Maryland (underarmour), and the Ga. (Nike) debacles, you would think we would tell Nike, thanks, but no thanks. I guess their designers live in caves, and smoke hemp all day.

After what I saw w/ UGA and MD, I am glad these are the unis we'll have.

I know Nike wants to make a statement, but what's wrong w/ using the Pro Combat technology and the traditional color patterns?

Also - like the idea of the "throwback" helmets. Maybe for Halloween?

The only concern would be that AU's white helmet would cause some confusion.

Well, at least it's better than the original design for the pants:

If we lose I'm blaming NIKE for messing with our traditional unis.

Can someone post the 09 combat uniform? And why do they call them PRO COMBAT???

Thanks.

YES. I learned that at Lady Tiger Football 101 a few years back. Each helmet is polished to a SHINE and then decals reapplied ... from what I remember each and every week.

Why do we have to turn football into a fricking fashion show? You don't need to look spiffy to kick someone's arse and get their blood and tears all over your uni. Just put on a purple toad sack and kick their arse!!!!!!

I would rather them be all white without the throw-back look.

I cant tell you how much I hate this. It's like watching some other school play. Why all of the this wild experimentation with uniforms and tradition. Is nothing sacred in sports anymore? GA and MD both get F-, IMHO. It's just plain stupid. What's the point? Just tell Nike to Just Don't Do It. Who 's giving Nike the green light on this anyway.

If the Athletic Department is spending more than one dime on this, then X2 to the above.

These are incredible for many reasons not mentioned here:

I like 'em...Not as much as our traditional white jersey uniforms, but these are about as cool as you can get if we have to go the Nike Pro Combat route. Could be much worse (i.e. Georgia last week).

^^Times infinity^^

Why did they stop doing that in the first place? It was a trademark and at one time only UCLA and LSU did it.

LSU. Which is probably why they look so similar to our normal uniforms. LSU probably laid out guidelines

It's the opposite. Nike is paying LSU to do this
