Weather guy in Lafayette said to expect power outages from high winds due to the trop storm. I'm going to lose my shite if the power goes out during the game. Theyre talking about 60 mph winds. Shoulda bought tickets I guess.

If that happens I start heading north until I find a motel open.

Radio of course...but i thought it wont be on the radio due to some rule the cowboys have about people broadcasting from the stadium?

I'm going to dust off the radio and hope for the best. But seriously first game of the season vs a top five team, and a fricking storm. frick

My understanding of it now is that the people in the dome can't hear it ... it'll be on 98.1 for us who aren't making the trip.

We're gonna hook up our little old color 9" tv from the kids (has an antenna) to the generator. THAT is my plan ... and plan B) well, Jim & Doug on the radio just like in the old days!

I thought these became obsolete when TV signals when 100% digital a couple years ago.

Didn't think you could catch an analog TV signal anymore.

My husband is offshore but after all the hurricanes we have been through the last few years I can pull the generator out, put the window unit in the window and crank everything up. Now, if the cable should go out

This shite better not put the power out! I might put the generator on stand by and have a chord to hook to the TV in a moments notice.

Almost this exact scenario led to me having to suffer through Auburn's MNC game in January. My AU alum parents live near Auburn, which was under threat of a heavy ice storm, so they drove down here to Destin to stay with me on the day/night of the game. My husband being an Auburn alum as well made that a particularly tough game to endure.

Yup, I got a 30 K W Generac. I'm good to go. Also Direct TV. No cable to knock out.
