Auburn moved toward being a basketball school in the 1980s, when future NBA standouts Charles Barkley and Chuck Person were on campus. Bo Jackson and Tim Hudson played on the baseball team. With a national championship in 2010, football is again the biggest game in town.

So much in this.

How many National Championships, Final Fours, Elite 8, and Sweet 16's do you guys have as compared to us??

I'll be waiting for your numbers.

The official gave the employee the highest marks for her work but refused her a raise in pay. The puzzled employee asked for an explanation.
“I don’t think you hate Alabama hard enough,” the official said.

This actually wouldn't surprise me.

they sure know how to talk smack; have to hand it to them there. although, they really are making a statement with petrino at the helm. i would not be surprised if they win the sec this year. in any event, i expect them to be competitive going forward.

This was my favorite quote:

quote:

The Hogs hold the series edge over Texas A&M by an impressive 17 game margin at 40-23-4 and have won the last two matchups in the recently revived series by a combined score of 71-36.

It does seem like some pretty solid writing.

“Rocky Top” is one of eight official state songs. You will not hear the other seven at a Vols’ athletic event. The song, popularized by Lynn Anderson in the early 1970s, is played on average more than 40 times at each home football game

If they were going to mention our baseball program they shouldn't have omitted the part where we beat A&M in Omaha last year.

Arkansas has a winning record over A&M at any time period of the series you choose to look at post WWII.

In fact, A&M's best run against Arkansas came in the years leading up to and during WWII.

Even in the 80s, when A&M was "legit", Arkansas won the decade 7-3.
