Any others enjoy this show? I think NPHarris makes the show and this seems like this Generation's "Friends." Anybody else like it?

Love this show. You'll find a few here who think it jumped the shark. But, it still makes me laugh.

And you're right NPH makes the show.

Never seen an episode, but I keep hearing wonderful things about it. I wish it was on On Demand! Why no CBS?

There are repeats on TV like 24/7. I am sure you can find it just by channel surfing.

And that's what I'll do if necessary. I just like starting out with the pilot when I get interested in a new show and watch them in order.

Not picky enough to go out and buy it though.

I like it. But Friends was on a different level popularity-wise.

Makes sense, but you can probably just watch a random rerun on TV to see if you like the show. It probably will not ruin too much (hopefully), but I definitely understand wanting to watch it in order. If you have DVR, then do that and only watch the recording of the Pilot.

This generation? Friends ended in 2004, and HIMYM started in 2005.

There's definitely a generational gap between Friends and HIMYM.

HIMYM has been pretty strong through the seasons so far though last season kind of waned for me, mostly because CBS dicked with the new episode schedule for some unknown reason. They'd show an episode, show two weeks of reruns, trot out two new episodes, then take three weeks off and resume. I assume it was to milk it. This really hurt the show's popularity and last season had the worst numbers so far because of it.

I looked it up and it has nowhere near the viewership of Friends, but there are so many more god damn TV options nowadays that it's not surprising. If you recall, the last two seasons of Friends weren't that great either, especially when compared to its early golden years. HIMYM is having a hard time continuing its early magic as they try to mature each character appropriately. So far they're contracted through season 8, and the way the story's been going it looks like it could end then.

All of my friends love this show, huge HIMYM fans. I'm excited for the last two seasons, especially since Kumar is supposed to be a love interest for Robin. I recently looked up the numbers, and I believe it's viewership is actually higher than The Office, which surprised me some.

HIMYM is probably one of the better and more well-written of what's left of shows considered a traditional "sitcom".

People either love it or hate it. I think barney stinson is one of the best characters on tv.

SPOILERS

The only thing I didn't like was Marshall's dad passing away. The way he found out was eerily similar to the way my dad found out about my grandfather's passing. That was a rough episode to watch as a family.

I was hesitant at first but I love the show. Ted is sometimes annoying but Jason Segel and NPH make the show.

Jason Segel is probably my favorite comedian right now.
