Well after 25 years of homeowners insurance with Allstate they have decided to drop me because I filed 3 claims in the last 4 years.

Screw um I have not been happy with Allstate since Gustav.

Anyone have good advice on shopping for Homeowners in BR.

Recommendations would be appreciated as well.
Are any companies left out there without a hurricane deductible ?

TIA

I'm sure that others will be along to help you out BUT I do seem to remember that insurance threads that I've read before all included something about everyone having a hurricane ded.

Sucks ... I know. We had Farm Bureau & were dropped and have lovely Citizen's for wind/hail and FB for "regular" homeowner's.

Good luck.

Try ASI. They wrote a policy for me on my house 3 months ago. 225K of coverage for 1K. My hurricane ded is $2500.

call an independent agent
State farm will be high bc you haven't had insurance with them
i was with sf for 22 yrs and just left them
my wife is an agent and we finally left and went with ASI for home and progressive for auto.
We saved $114 mth with auto and have our home at $1200 which is what we paid with sf. we also only have $1k hurricane deductible
good luck and nobody cares about or wants insurance until they need it.

I think ASI has an A- or A rating.

I have them. They went up 20% on me this year. Not sure why but my agent said everyone was calling to complain about the increase. Hurricane deductible is only $500.
