Same girl that took my money up front served my meal in the back. If you want to call it a meal.

My camera could not get a pic of about 20% of the place, but I assure you there were zero people there besides me and the person I was with.

Shocker, if they don't have more business, they won't be there very long.

POINT: If you LIKE Poncho's, and you want it to continue to exist, then you have to go there, and spend some money.

NOT going there is a vote too.

Having said that, I'm not sure where I stand on this. I haven't been to Poncho's in forty-five years. And, I'm not sure I want to go just to prop up a place who's time has passed. It's not that it was bad. It's just that there are so many more choices today.

While I like Poncho's, I don't see it lasting very long. I doubt I'm going to try it again, just for nostalgias sake.

Yikes.

The first thing that came to mind...what did you order and how was it?

Also, wtf is up with those pictures on the wall? Was there a sale at Dollar General? I noticed that the condiment bottles are filled at all the tables and the place looks spotless, so it appears like they're trying.

I guess the 765 all you can eat chinese buffets have taken away their core market of customers.

Honestly, I prefer just to go spend $5 at taco bell when I need my fix of grease and cheese every 3 or 4 months.

That's my son's choice as well.

I prefer 6 tacos from JiB for $2.97 plus tax.

You absolutely have to post pics of the "collateral damage" in a few hours.

I could give a shite if poncho's closes. Never have spent money there, and do not plan on spending money there in the future.

No, but I was referring to the locations open in the early 90's, not the new one in Metairie.

I went to that place ONE time. Never went back. Typically people frequent a place more than one time if it is decent.
