In an interview with ESPN radio new Los Angeles Lakers coach Mike Brown said if given the choice he would choose Kobe Bryant over Lebron James to take the last second shot.

Totally agree. I might even take Ray Allen and Derrick Rose over LeBron. You?

Why wouldn't he pick Kobe over LeBron?

I agree. I should be able to coach the Lakers now.

That he'd take Fisher as well.

Kobe is nowhere near as clutch as most believe he is

:omg:

Why the hell would he pick someone off his own team? Man would pick Steve Blake before LBJ.

Statistically Kobe has been pretty terrible himself on last shots. I'd take Melo

Do you really think he'd say he preferred someone other than Kobe?

This is pointless

Truth be told, I'd probably rather have Lebron taking the last shot, granted he was actually aggressive. Too bad he never wants it or ends up taking a terrible jump shot.

At least with Kobe's terrible jump shots, I feel like they have a chance of going in.

I thought it was a hair below league average, which is not "pretty terrible". The last shot is a brutal possession for anybody. There is a reason that the last shot is made somewhere in the ballpark of 33%.

I could be wrong, but I thought he was below 25%. No site really tracks them as far as I know. 82games used to, but they've gone way downhill since the founder took a job with an NBA team (can't remember which one)

Now that I think about it kobe's percentage probably jumped up after 09-10

Well no shite

And if they would have asked him a few years ago he would have picked lebron and if next year he goes to coach the heat and they ask him he will say lebron

And if the following year he goes to OKC and they give him a choice he will say Durant
