LSU makes over 4 million a home game, I sure hope they're pulling in a profit.

Football made 43 million in 09-10. Basketball a little over 2, baseball a little under 2, and the rest lost money.

In terms of total expenses, only Texas, Ohio State and Florida are higher. Interesting.

Impossible. LSU is a baseball school.

I think it would also be interesting to see how many of those athletic departments take money from their state. I'm pretty sure a few years ago LSU and Nebraska were the only two that didn't and still turned a profit.

Probably state funding, not related to ticket collections, etc.

What are "other expenses"? Seems a pretty big number to just be classified as "other".

"*School says unusual surplus is due to non-cash gift of John E. Jaqua Academic Center for Student Athletes. Note: Amounts not adjusted for inflation."

Academic Center

"The John E. Jaqua Academic Center for Student Athletes, named for the late UO alumnus and founding board member of Nike, cost $41.7 million."

So somehow that amount is in the amount of revenue generated but not in the expenses.

Take that 41.7 out and they still had a profit of $153,109. That's more like it.
