I get more excited about watching our defense than the offense. These guys are going to be great.

Defense is what LSU has always been about. That's what all the fans who want us to score 100 every game don't get. Maybe I am old school, but I will take a defense that holds teams to 10 ppg all day long. That's what wins championships. This year's D should be damn fine, and I can't wait to see them in action.

Chavis is doing a fantastic job here. Especially when you consider how piss poor the offense has been. Whoever has been recruiting our secondary needs to be given a raise and kept on the staff for as long as possible.

It matters not. Claiborne, Simon and Mathieu will all be on the field 80% of the snaps in nickel anyway.

What does matter, though, is Mathieu will stay inside on the slot WR while Simon goes outside.

I thought ESPN hated LSU? Either way, reading that makes my pants tight. I'm pumped for this season.

Someone needs to post this article on the SEC Rant for that Florida fan who asked, "Why does everyone think LSU has a top 10 defense?"

Well, see article D-bag. 301 yards/game for 8 in total defense last year. This Oozing Defensive Talent in 2011 is going to allow our defense to be better than last year. There's so much physicality, depth, and speed.
