I know it's been discussed on here, but I didn't enter in the right keyword(s) when searching, so my results came back zero.

Any recommendations? Any that are worth a darn? Particularly in the northern part of Houston (Spring, Tomball, Woodlands, etc.)

This place wasn't too bad in my opion. Good seafood. We went there to see Anders Osborne and got some of the food, everyone enjoyed it
Crabby Daddy

If in Tomball area, you need to do yourself a favor and go to Bootsie's Heritage Cafe...damn good food!

And Zachary's Cajun Kitchen in Kingwood ain't bad either.

There's always a pappadeaux somewhere. Judging form outside alone it looks like it would be lacking of any true Louisiana style. Plus my ex worked there and said it was good, she didn't know good food...just how to eat alot.

Where is Bootie's in Tomball?

Crabby Daddy's is pretty solid.

Gumbeaux's off of Huffsmith Kuykendahl in Spring/Tomball is ok too. Takes a while to get your food though.

Boudreaux's in Willowbrook area.

Girl I went to HS with is the chef at Calliope Poboy

Knowing her I'd have to imagine it's really solid and I've heard such from people who have been there

I'm in Houston quite often and many of my employees are from the Louisiana area (but don't know Houston all that well) and are looking for something that reminds them of home.

I'd second Zachary's Cajun Cafe in Kingwood. I got nothing for Spring/Tomball.

Anyone tried Zydeco diner downtown? Went for lunch the first time the other day, and it was on point. Reminded me of some of the diners in Lafayette. I think its only open from 11-2 Mon-Fri...

On the way back to the office, I saw Calliope's Poboys... I'll try that next week after yalls recommendation.
