I'd be shocked if it were on the shelf considering it's not legal to sell. I only knew that a few bars had it.

I know it's not at Whole Foods. I was just there and didn't see it.

Kinda surprised that the alcohol content is only 5.2%.

Have you tried Duvel? That beer definitely makes it presence felt!

I like it. Get it here in Katy all the time. I like it as a good drinking beer. I don't like it with food though.

I love Duvel. Last summer, I would go for a run in Vondel Park and then walk over to the Blue Teahouse in the park, sit on the terrace and sip a couple Duvels. Night Night.

It's hard to explain the effect of that beer to someone who hasn't tried it.

I made the mistake of having like 5 at a wedding party. Never again.

Duvel is a great value

Tastes better and is easier to drink than shitty AB/Miller/Coors

and like 3x the alcohol, for 3x the price. You get the good flavor for free!

It's not illegal to sell at the retail level it just hasn't been approved for distribution.

With that being said it's one of my least favorite products from New Belgium.

And because of the laws surrounding beer, that makes it illegal. It is considered bootlegging (see Smokey and Bandit), although I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble for it.

I've had it at Varsity, the Cove has DFH 90 min IPA on thier permanent list (although they rarely have it). When someone who works there happens to be in Texas they pick up a few cases.
