Hell yes there's problems at LA college, namely that their biology course catalog does not contain evolution.

I'm quite sure that there are many secular, public colleges whose biology courses do not contain creationism.

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say here, but if you're saying that it's an even trade for LC not to have evolution in the biology catalog because no secular schools have creationism in their science curricula, then that is dumb.

I'm all for their right to not teach evolution. I just think it is stupid, ass-backwards, and produces scientists who are not fully educated. If they wanna embrace that, they can have at it.

the evolution idea contradicts itself in many ways.

That's because creationism isn't science. It's religion.

My first concern with the college arose when I heard that faculty members typically do not receive cost of living raises.

Stopped reading right there. Really? Thats his issue?

re: Problems at Louisiana College?
LC students are by far the most prepared med students out of in state schools.

I went to LSU and those kids know their stuff. Their science department seems legit and does an excellent job preparing pre-med kids.

But i mean evolution doesnt really play a big role in a medical education other than development. But i also never took evolution at lsu. It is not required.

Do they not teach it in ANY bio class? I find that hard to believe. It was taught in every bio class i ever took. It doesnt necessarily need its own class, especially at a school that small

I took BIO 1021 last semester, and it briefly covered it. He breezed through it and continued onto other topics, not testifying whether or not the theories were in fact true.

and they shouldnt considering creationism has ZERO to do with science

I don't see the real need to teach it since it's pretty self explanatory. Not like they could teach a specific sect. But it sure would fill in the gaps. You know, where that first cell ever came from? The inherent problem with straight scientific theories

except that's not what evolution is.

Don't talk about things you don't understand.

So, how the first lifeform originated no longer has anything to do with science?

Stfu I know exactly what evolution is.

But things can't evolve from nothing.

And i said I dont support teaching creationism in class

Evolution is how life changes, not how it is created.
