What a shame. This will be one of the most talented teams we have ever had and we face a brutal schedule. If we were in any other conference we would be pre-season #1 and have a much easier route to the big dance. Did we really need to schedule Oregon and West Virginia in same season? I think we should be able to play for the NC with two loses provided we win the SEC Championship.

So if/when LSU beats both Oregon and WVU, and it bolsters their chance to solidify the number one spot later in the year are you still going to hold this view?

We'll beat them both.

We'll also likely slip up somewhere along the line, but it won't be to Oregon or WVA.

So, it's a wash. It will be hard to come out of Tuscaloosa with a win. I'm also worried about the Tennessee game. That seems to be the type of game that LSU under Miles would struggle with. Hope I'm wrong. At Miss. St. will be brutal as well. They're due.

Geez. You're right. What if we're way better than last year and go 8-4 because everyone else is better too? That would stink.

Won't happen though. NC all the way!

We didn't need to but why not remove any doubt? When we beat both of them we'll be golden in every honest discussion about top teams in the country.

After last year's Alabama schedule, you have to factor in the amount of teams that had a week off before playing you.

That was a bit much, having that many teams have a week off.....but I liked Bama having that task.

The SEC is going to have to do something about that.

Yes, I will have the same view. I think we play enough blue chip teams in the SEC.

I don't have to because I lived it, but I checked it just to refresh my memory. That was a different time. Back then, we opened with the Aggies and ended with the Green Wave. That's why we needed an earthquake to get through it.

Neutral site vs Oregon, at WVU, at a very good MSU, and at a great Alabama teams house. Sounds like the toughest schedule to me.

So you would rather play 4 directional universities instead?

Hell, if LSU can't beat Oregon in the season opener, it doesn't deserve to be in NC consideration anyway.

OK, well then, maybe we should have another open date added to the schedule. Two open dates would help.

In order to be the best, you must beat the best.

In order to be the man, you must beat the man.

I promise you, the players would rather play 12 Alabamas than 12 Nichols States.

We should scrimmage the Saints during a short week.

It's a very tough schedule and I think anyone predicting 12-0 is kidding themselves. I think we'll face a loss, and hopefully none more. It's going to be a tough task to escape with a NC much less a SEC Championship out of this schedule, that means if we do win it, it'll be that much more gratifying.

All of our games are toss ups except for perhaps 3 and maybe even 2.

It's gonna be a fun year though

Anytime we get to play the Gators in B.R. is better than when we don't.
