Damn old man I didn't see the pistol play I think I had just discovered those 2 things hangin between my legs when pistol was around. I did see CJ play in the dome against Georgetown I think!!

God, I miss those days. He wasn't the Pistol, but you have to admit that CJ played against much better competition, and excelled.

LSU doesn't have a player like CJ! He was the best I have ever seen in person and made every game so much fun. LSU basketball was really fun back then and the PMAC was rocking.

CJ could actually shoot free throws too. Seems to be a lost art at LSU these days.

I was a freshman in 86, fun times in the pmac. Football was good too until 88 if memory serves.

no I don't, the Pistol played when he was the ONLY offense they had. Not so much when CJ played. I'm not flaming here, CJ was great, seen him many times also. So, in your comparison, Gayle Sayers wasn't really that good, because the competition wasn't that great?

true, another thing about the Pistol, he shot over 90% from the foul line for his career at LSU

they didn't have the 3 pt line either when the pistol played more amazying considering how many pts he averaged!! CJ was the man in my book though we learned he couldn't play def in the pros though!!
