Didn't Dale Brown take a shot at one of the Tennessee players?

I dont really remember that. I do remember Justin Anderson grabbing Vernel and holding him back from Alan Houston. Vernel wanted to pop him in his mouth.

Look how packed the P-MAC is. Good ole days. Hopefully the tigers can get back to that kind of atmosphere!

I remember Dale trying to go after Pitino during a Kentucky game because Pitino was running his mouth to the LSU players.

Even after Shaq and Stanley Roberts arrived, CJ was the star. Fred's had drink specials on game nights based on how many points CJ scored. That was a fun time to be a student!

Hawthorne's play by play actually seemed to match what was happening in the game. I don't understand.

WOW what memories that clip brought back. I am sure I was in a few in the crowds. CJ was something else. The PMAC was a different animal back then too. Great times.

I always wished somebody with a lot of money would have a giant statue of Pete made for the outside of the pmac between the ramps. If Jordan has one in chicago Pete certainly deserves one here.

Chris Jackson's freshman year IMO was the best I have ever scene for a freshman. It was amazing to watch, Definitely one of LSU bb greatest player and the best freshman ever. It takes talent like that to get excited about bb again around here, I am not sure Tj has any idea how to get a kid like that here.

I don't remember the opponent, but he had one play where he faked behind the back and laid it in. One of the worst cases of "pick up your jock" I've seen.

Was it better than Jabari's? Just joking.

I do wish i could have been there for CJ's freshman season against FLA on the road. One of the best performances i have ever seen (ESPNU).

I saw him play when many times, the hands down best basketball player I ever seen play in person. Too bad he is a complete piece of trash.

Look at all those full seats in the PMAC - and people today think LSU won't support basketball...

I don't remember which year it was, but CJ averaged 50 points per game.

Amen EST. +1000. Fans will come to the PMAC. They have been there before and if you can sell the program, they will return again. I love Trent Johnson as a man. I truly want TJohnson to succeed for many years at LSU. I don't want my next statement to be viewed as racist in anyway. I am glad an African-American coach was hired at LSU..besides Pokey Chapman. I think Trent is a good coach...but if he doesn't start getting the train moving quickly, he may surmise to his own demise..if you know what I mean. There is gotta to be a way to promote this program at LSU (basketball). I don't know if the chicken must come b4 the egg as far as getting star players b4 winning with average ones. If you win, you sell your program. How long that takes, remains to be seen.

If San Diego State can build a program and Butler can almost win a 'ship then at LSU, yes...it is possible. Somehow, Trent and Alleva gotta to sell and convince people to show up AGAIN like in the past. Maybe Trent is not the guy...so then..we have to make a spectacular hire in the future, to get the fanbase interested and excited. I Think Alleva knows basketball and has ties to the upstart coaches in this nation. I aint' giving up on Trent. He is my main guy. But something better get going as far as a spark, or we looking at 4 to 6 more years of treading water.
