Troy smith shouldn't be yelling at a coach.

The 49ers have three or four players. The rest of the personnel is garbage especially the qbs. Blow it up and start over.

I think he's finished tbh, although he had a good day today.

How many real players do the Pats have? They still skullfrick the AFC with no problem. The talent is there to be a winning team at least.

just because you can only name 3 or 4 players doesn't mean they lack the talent. See New England.

ETA: I see someone already made that case.

and I'm not saying SF is New England, I'm just saying they have enough pieces that a decent coaching regime could easily have them in the playoffs next year. And possibly one of the many QB's that's gonna be available next year.

49ers have a long way to go before becoming even close to the Redskins.

49ers are more like the panthers, bills, raiders, and dolphins. A couple of good players, the rest average/below average, and a stop gap "average at best " qb.

Those teams need a lot of pieces to be legitimate contenders.

Teams that need a coach or a player" here and there" would be more like the cowboys or chargers.

NE is laden with talent They've got four clutch, chain moving, play making receivers (branch, welker, gronkowski, Hernandez). They have playmakers and third down converting backs . They have a very good o line. Plus, Brady to bring it all together. On defense, anchor in the middle of the line -wilfork, playmaking young backers and dbs

Actually I think if the Niners keeps the D together they can contend soon. A QB needs to be added and ideally another decent wideout.

The D is actually a pretty solid unit, the O is just so woeful it brings the D down. That said keeping them together is a big if, Lawson, Franklin and Spikes are all FA's.

Singletary is an absolute joke of a coach.

So the QB yells at his head coach but in this one case it's the HC's fault?

Wow. Talk about Bizarro world.

And to answer the OP's question, there are several teams more dysfunctional than the 49ers.

1. Minnesota Vikings
2. Washington Redskins
3. Dallas Cowboys
4. San Diego Chargers
5. Tennessee Titans
