Mark May giving LSU, PP, the D and the team props at half time of the WV game. Some kind of new segment he has.

I saw that too. I'm not sure "Give Love" would be the right phrase. We beat The Barn, and then we will get some love.

For Mark May where LSU is concerned, that's probably as close the giving us a bit of "love" as he's gonna get.

Surprised me to hear him say anything positive about us, especially the props for PP ... though he couldn't resist bashing our QBs with the "combined" picks (of course he didn't differentiate who had how many picks between JL and JJ).

Yeah, I caught that, too. Surprised me when he gave PP props without mentioning his struggle with the leg cramps.

Props from May but did you hear the dig against Miles by Reece (I think) when he was promoting that segment just before half? Something to the effect of May is no Miles with simple thoughts.

You must not remember 2003. I laughed my tail off the night he told everyone that LSU was gonna beat UGA a second time in the SECCG. He rode LSU that entire season man. Never picked against us, not one time. I can't remember the fellows name who was working beside him back then. But the fellow kept saying there's no way LSU beats UGA, a second time, in the Georgia Dome.

Are you fricking kidding me, May has always said good things about LSU when there was good things to say about LSU. During 2007, even when we lost games, he still had LSU as his top ranked teams.

How do some of you always come to some conclusion that everyone in the media hates LSU. They were saying the exact things that we as fans thought of this team. This is not a Pee Wee league where they are supposed to kiss our arse 24/7. They are sports analyst, they watch games and do their job by commenting on things that they see.

Certainly you can include Granny Lou Holtz in there too.

However, I do agree w/ you that May gives LSU love when they are playing goood.

Except when he said there was no way our defense could stop Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams.

The same as they do in redneck/tagalog/pig-latin

But seriously - did you really not understand what the OP was trying to communicate?

This. May never wavered in his support. If the Tigers top AU at Jordan Hare, he'll be squarely on the bandwagon again. IMO he's the only one of the ESPN gaggle with any football sense whatsoever.

We all thought this when he was on ESPN, and his not on the LSU bandwagon added fuel to the fire.

But I gotta admit, I gained a HUGE amount of respect for him after I found out why he was fired from ESPN. To refresh your memories, Trev refused to go along with the brass at the network and promote USC as the greatest of all time. He fought his producers and lost. There is a reason that the letter "E" is first in their acronym, and old Trev said he was going to give it to us straight and not tow the company line. Last I heard, he was investigating crop circles somewhere in the midwest.
